Unexpected Noremestrin with a Sulfur-Bearing 15-Membered Macrocyclic Lactone from Emericella sp. 1454.

Organic Letters, 2023
Two previous unreported epipolythiodioxopiperazines of the emestrin family, namely, noremestrin A (1) and secoemestrin E (2), were successfully isolated from the fungal source Emericella sp. 1454. Employing comprehensive spectroscopic techniques, such as

Role of an ABCB11930_1931del TC gene mutation in a temporal cluster of macrocyclic lactone-induced neurologic toxicosis in cats associated with products labeled for companion animal use.

Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, 2021
OBJECTIVE To determine whether ABCB11930_1931del TC predisposed cats to macrocyclic-lactone toxicosis and the frequency of the ABCB11930_1931del TC gene mutation in banked feline DNA samples.

Resistance to Macrocyclic Lactones

Current Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, 2012
Resistance to the macrocyclic lactones (MLs) has been confirmed or suspected in many target organisms and is a serious problem in some. For some species, such as parasitic nematodes of small ruminants, ML resistance has become severe enough to threaten effective worm control worm control.

Macrocyclic lactone endectocides

2012
The macrocyclic lactone endectocides such as ivermectin, abamectin, selamectin and moxidectin have revolutionized the treatment of parasitic diseases in animals, being active against internal and external parasites. Ivermectin was introduced into veterinary medicine in the 1980s and since that time a number of related compounds have been introduced. In

The effects of heat applications on macrocyclic lactone-structured antiparasitic drug residues in cows’ milk

Food Additives and Contaminants Part A-chemistry Analysis Control Exposure & Risk Assessment, 2020
The study aimed to evaluate the effects of heat on macrocyclic lactone residues in cows’ milk. Ivermectin, abamectin, doramectin, eprinomectin and moxidectin were added to raw milk in three concentrations.

Macrocyclic lactone resistance in cyathostomins

Veterinary Record, 2008
SIR, — The beginning of resistance of cyatho stomins to the macrocyclic lac-tones has been suggested by the less than complete reduction in egg counts after treatment with ivermectin in Germany ([von Samson-Himmelstjerna and others 2007][1]), the occurrence of eggs in faeces 28 days ...

Macrocyclic Lactones and Dirofilaria immitis Microfilariae

Topics in Companion Animal Medicine, 2011
Although there has been extensive veterinary focus on both the effectiveness of macrocyclic lactones for heartworm prevention in dogs and their adulticidal effects, little attention has been directed to their effects on heartworm microfilariae. With routine use of macrocyclic lactones, in some cases knowingly, in dogs with existing heartworm infections,

Synergism of macrocyclic lactones against Haemonchus contortus

Parasitology Research, 2023
A possible synergistic effect of macrocyclic lactones' (MLs) combination has been previously described against resistant gastrointestinal nematodes of cattle. In addition to synergism, drug-drug interactions between MLs can also result in additive or antagonistic effect, considering the different MLs pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and interactions

Macrocyclic lactone resistance in Dirofilaria immitis

Veterinary Parasitology, 2011
Microfilariae were isolated from a Katrina rescue dog that remained microfilariaemic despite successful adulticidal treatments and repeated treatment with high doses of macrocyclic lactones (MLs). The microfilariae were genotyped at two P-glycoprotein single nucleotide polymorphic sites which had been found to correlate with reduced sensitivity to MLs.
