Ovarian Sex Cord Stromal Tumors in Children and Adolescents—The European Standard Clinical Practice Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As part of the European Cooperative Study Group for Paediatric Rare Tumours initiative, we developed standard clinical practice guidelines for ovarian sex cord stromal tumors, based on comprehensive national and international cohort analyses, literature review, and a final expert consensus conference.

Comparative experimental study on macroscopic spray characteristics of various oxygenated diesel fuels

open access: yesEnergy Science & Engineering, 2023
Under high ambient pressure (5 MPa) and different injection pressures (90, 120, and 150 MPa), a high‐speed imaging technique was carried out to comparatively investigate the macroscopic spray characteristics of diesel with three different types of ...

Emerging experimental and computational methods for studying redox‐regulated structural transitions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Redox reactions can reshape proteins and alter how they behave in cells, with important consequences for health and disease. This review explores emerging experimental and computational approaches for discovering these redox‐sensitive protein switches, revealing their structural effects, and predicting their behavior, opening new opportunities to ...

Analysis for macroscopic physical properties of composite materials containing ellipsoidal reinforcements oriented randomly

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2023
Christensen derived solutions of macroscopic elastic constants of composite materials containing randomly oriented fibers (Christensen, 2005). In this study, by extending Christensen’s method, the analysis of macroscopic physical properties of a ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Modelling of an Air Compressor Using Energetic Macroscopic Representation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This article introduces the energetic macroscopic representation (EMR) as approach for the dynamic nonlinear modeling of a reciprocating air compressor. EMR has been introduced recently for research development in complex electromechanical systems. It is

Epigenetic silencing of the liver‐specific lncRNA LUNAR promotes liver cancer progression via NOTCH activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...
