Regulation of transcription in Maedi-visna virus
The data presented in this thesis argues that different MVV isolates show modified mechanisms of transcriptional regulation. This conclusion is based on the observation that the EV-1 LTRs lack a consensus AP-1 site and that the positions of transcription factor sites are not fixed between the EV-1, 1514 or 1772 viruses.
