Pegargiminase Suppresses the Fanconi Anemia Pathway and Promotes Melphalan‐Induced DNA Double‐Strand Breaks in Uveal Melanoma

open access: yesPigment Cell &Melanoma Research, Volume 39, Issue 4, July 2026.
ADI‐PEG20 enhances melphalan‐induced DNA DSBs in UM cells. We describe potentiation of DNA DSBs in UM cell lines upon treatment with ADI‐PEG20 and melphalan (92.1 cells with STRIDE by intoDNA). ADI‐PEG20 suppresses multiple members of the FA pathway—a known resistance mechanism for melphalan—providing a rationale for exploring this drug combination in ...

Exercise Training Stimulates the Release of Glutathione Peroxidase 1 (GPX1)‐Enriched Extracellular Vesicles That Promote Angiogenesis

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 12, 30 June 2026.
Exercise Training Stimulates the Release of Glutathione Peroxidase 1 (GPX1)‐Enriched Extracellular Vesicles that Promote Angiogenesis. The results from this study suggest that EVs isolated from blood immediately after the last bout of endurance exercise training (ExerV) are enriched in antioxidants. ExerVs stimulate vascular growth both in vitro and in

Does Mismatching Matter? A Systematic Review Into the Impact of Therapist‐Client Personality Similarity on the Therapeutic Alliance

open access: yesCounselling and Psychotherapy Research, Volume 26, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose The therapeutic alliance (TA) can be conceptualised in terms of three interrelated elements: (a) agreement between therapist and client about the goals of the treatment, (b) agreement between therapist and client about the necessary tasks to achieve the goals, and (c) a bond between therapist and client.

Alterations of circulating innate lymphoid cells in recent‐onset type 1 diabetes

open access: yesClinical &Translational Immunology, Volume 15, Issue 6, 2026.
Circulating innate lymphoid cells (ILC) in patients with recent‐onset type 1 diabetes (T1D) show a chronic activation and a primed phenotype, with overexpression of HLA Class II (ILC1 and ILCP) and dysregulation of costimulatory and migratory mRNA transcripts. Glucose and cytokines (IL‐1β) mediate circulating ILC activation and HLA Class II expression.

A Meta‐Analysis and Systematic Review of Single‐Session Interventions for Eating Disorders

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, Volume 59, Issue 6, Page 1083-1116, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background There is a critical gap between the need for eating disorder (ED) treatment and provider availability. Single‐Session Interventions (SSIs) are structured programs intentionally designed for a single client encounter and show promise for filling ED‐treatment and prevention gaps by enhancing accessibility of evidence‐based ...

Sexually Dimorphic Regulation of MiR‐29a/c‐3p in Human Endothelial Cells: Cell Functions and Transcriptome

open access: yesJournal of Cellular Physiology, Volume 241, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Preeclampsia (PE) is a major cause of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality during pregnancy. PE is characterized by widespread endothelial dysfunction in mothers and fetuses. The etiology of PE remains elusive, but the dysregulation of microRNAs (miRNAs) in endothelial cells may contribute to the pathogenesis of PE. We have reported that

Impact of Isolation Techniques on the Content of Small Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT An important topic of discussion amongst the extracellular vesicle (EV) research field is which genetic materials are considered true constituents of EV cargo. What were once regarded as non‐EV components have now evolved to be potentially essential to EV composition, serving as key mediators in communication.

Bacterial Extracellular Vesicles (BEVs) Derived from Chryseobacterium Inhibit Dengue Virus Infection by Disrupting Its Structural Integrity

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
This study elucidates a novel antiviral mechanism of bacterial BEVs, which are shown to inactivate viruses by triggering membrane fusion, subsequent lysis and causing structural collapse. This direct virucidal action presents a promising broad‐spectrum strategy against diverse enveloped viruses.
