Actia interrupta is an important larval tachinid parasitoid during low‐density populations of the eastern spruce budworm. In the late 1980s during the outbreak collapse, Meteorus trachynotus was initially the most important species, but was replaced by A. interrupta. Host patch size and density had no impact on the parasitism rates by A.

Screening bermudagrass genotypes for improved forage production
Abstract Cynodon is a diverse genus of great economic importance to the southeastern United States. However, the bermudagrass stem maggot (BSM; Atherigona reversura Villeneuve) is threatening bermudagrass (Cynodon spp.) throughout the region. Long‐term solutions require the development and release of BSM‐tolerant bermudagrass genotypes.
