This research explored South African iron‐rich sand (SAIRS) as a natural catalyst for light‐mediated wet peroxide oxidation of methyl orange dye in wastewater and at an optimized of conditions of 3500 mg/L catalyst dose, 6 mM H2O2, and pH 2.5, SAIRS achieved 94% methyl orange degradation within 90 min under visible light.

Phase Separation of Bismuth Ferrite into Magnetite under Voltage Stressing
Micro-Raman studies show that under ~700 kV/cm of d.c. voltage stressing for a few seconds, thin-film bismuth ferrite BiFeO3 phase separates into magnetite Fe3O4.

Reorientation kinetics of superparamagnetic nanostructured rods [PDF]
The attractive interactions between oppositely charged species (colloids, macromolecules etc) dispersed in water are strong, and the direct mixing of solutions containing such species generally yields to a precipitation, or to a phase separation. We have

Abstract Temperature dependence of dc magnetization and ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) of two samples containing γ-Fe 2 O 3 (maghemite) magnetic nanoparticles dispersed at low concentration (0.1 and 0.3 wt%) in a nanocomposite based on a poly(ether–ester) multiblock copolymer (PTT-block-PTMO) matrix was investigated.

Abstract This study proposes a novel, green, and sustainable method for synthesizing magnetic iron oxides from metallurgical copper slag (CS), leveraging its iron content as a valuable resource. Iron was extracted via acid leaching using edible citric acid (ECA), forming a citrate–iron complex (CSL), which was subsequently thermally decomposed at 300°C

High H2S gas sensitivity was improved by electrochemically engineering Co3O4/CoO heterostructures with oxygen vacancies and aligning nanosized particles via magnetic‐field‐assisted deposition. This alignment enhanced gas diffusion and electron transport, reducing base resistance. The resulting sensor exhibited high selectivity and a strong response (Rg/

ABSTRACT The limitations of traditional direct current–electrocoagulation (DC–EC) in wastewater treatment encompass electrode passivation, high energy consumption and substantial sludge generation. Alternating current–EC, often known as AC–EC, is a technique that was developed to overcome these concerns. This study sets out to compare the effectiveness
