Application of x-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) to local-order analysis in Fe-Cr maghemite-like materials [PDF]
The maghemite-like oxide system γ-Fe2-xCrxO3 (x=0.75, 1 and 1.25) was studied by X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) and by synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction (XRD). Measurements were performed at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource at

Maghemite Intercalated Montmorillonite as New Nanofillers for Photopolymers [PDF]
In this work, maghemite intercalated montmorillonite (γFe2O3-MMT)/polymer nanocomposites loaded with 1 or 2 wt.% of nanofillers were obtained by photopolymerization of difunctional acrylate monomers. The γFe2O3-MMT nanofillers were prepared by a new method based on the in situ formation of maghemite in the interlayer space of Fe-MMT using a three step ...

Raman mapping of CVD‐grown ε‐Fe2O3 flakes reveals a sixfold magnetostructural domain pattern arising from rotational twinning. A symmetry‐sensitive phonon mode encodes magnetic order, enabling noninvasive imaging of ferrimagnetic domains across cryogenic to near‐Curie temperatures.

Protective Effect of Polyoxometalates in {Mo132}/Maghemite Binary Superlattices Under Annealing
The binary assembly DDA-{Mo132}/OA-γ-Fe2O3 (DDA = didodecyldimethylammonium, {Mo132} = [Mo132O372(CH3COO)30(H2O)72]42−, OA = oleic acid) constitutes one of the two examples in the literature of binary superlattices made of a mixing of nanocrystals and ...

DNA‐Iron Oxide Templated Multifunctional Nanocarbon Networks
The assembly of hybrid nanocomposites often leads to the emergence of new properties. For example, DNA‐scaffolded colloidal gold can exhibit chiroplasmonic signals, while nanocomposite‐integrated carbon nanotubes display gating properties.
