COMP Report: CPQR technical quality control guidelines for use of positron emission tomography/computed tomography in radiation treatment planning

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Positron emission tomography with x‐ray computed tomography (PET/CT) is increasingly being utilized for radiation treatment planning (RTP). Accurate delivery of RT therefore depends on quality PET/CT data. This study covers quality control (QC) procedures required for PET/CT for diagnostic imaging and incremental QC required for RTP.

Phenotypic continuum of NFU1‐related disorders

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 2025-2035, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Bi‐allelic variants in Iron–Sulfur Cluster Scaffold (NFU1) have previously been associated with multiple mitochondrial dysfunctions syndrome 1 (MMDS1) characterized by early‐onset rapidly fatal leukoencephalopathy. We report 19 affected individuals from 10 independent families with ultra‐rare bi‐allelic NFU1 missense variants associated with a

Abiotic diseases of strawberry

open access: yesGlasnik Zaštite Bilja, 2022
Strawberry as a cultivated plant species shows exceptional sensitivity to various abiotic factors in cultivation, especially the deficiency of nutrient elements (micro and macroelements), such as nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, boron, calcium, etc ...

Age Dependent Partitioning Patterns of Essential Nutrients Induced by Copper Feeding Status in Leaves and Stems of Poplar

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2022
Copper (Cu) is an essential micronutrient, and its deficiency can cause plants to undergo metabolic changes at several levels of organization. It has been shown that leaf age can play a role in nutrient partitioning along the shoot axis of poplar.

Effects of pregnancy on neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder and predictors of related attacks

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1918-1925, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective Our study aimed to investigate the influence of pregnancy on the course of neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) and to explore the independent predictors of pregnancy‐related attacks. Methods We performed a retrospective study of patients with NMOSD based on the Wingerchuk 2006 or the revised Wingerchuk 2015 criteria ...

The clinical spectrum of SMA‐PME and in vitro normalization of its cellular ceramide profile

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1941-1952, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective The objectives of this study were to define the clinical and biochemical spectrum of spinal muscular atrophy with progressive myoclonic epilepsy (SMA‐PME) and to determine if aberrant cellular ceramide accumulation could be normalized by enzyme replacement.

A transient inflammatory response contributes to oxaliplatin neurotoxicity in mice

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1985-1998, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objectives Peripheral neuropathy is a relevant dose‐limiting adverse event that can affect up to 90% of oncologic patients with colorectal cancer receiving oxaliplatin treatment. The severity of neurotoxicity often leads to dose reduction or even premature cessation of chemotherapy.

Phosphorus Deficiency Alters Nutrient Accumulation Patterns and Grain Nutritional Quality in Rice

open access: yesAgronomy, 2016
The accumulation of biomass and mineral nutrients during the post-anthesis period was investigated in field-grown rice plants cultivated in phosphorus (P)-sufficient vs. P-deficient soil.

Exploring the Role of Calcium in the Physiology of Tulipa: A Comparative Study across Different Cultivars

open access: yesHorticulturae, 2023
Cut tulip flower production, typically cultivated using hydroponic systems, often faces the challenge of stem toppling due to calcium (Ca) deficiency in the nutrient solution. Growers generally grow various tulip cultivars to meet market demands.
