Complexity of magnetization and magnetic simplification

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2023
We use the complexity=volume (CV) prescription to study the effect of a magnetic field on the computational complexity for states in the gauge theories dual to two different gravitational models. In one of these theories the complexity increases with the intensity of the magnetic field, while in the other a more interesting behavior is discovered ...

An optimized magnet for magnetic refrigeration [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2010
A magnet designed for use in a magnetic refrigeration device is presented. The magnet is designed by applying two general schemes for improving a magnet design to a concentric Halbach cylinder magnet design and dimensioning and segmenting this design in an optimum way followed by the construction of the actual magnet.

MAGNETIZATION OF AMORPHOUS MAGNETS

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique Colloques, 1979
The temperature dependence of the distribution of the magnetic moment in an amorphous magnet, where the exchange interactions and the magnitude of the magnetic moment at O K are random variables, has been investigated. In particular, we considered the two-limiting cases, the one with the fixed spin and the other with the fixed interaction.

Impulse Magnetized Magnetic Screws [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2019
This paper is an investigation in the performance of two types of magnetic screws (MSs). The first is the magnet to magnet and consists of permanent magnet (PM) nut and PM screw and the second is a magnet to reluctance and consists of PM nut and a double-start reluctance screw.

Characterization of Permanent Magnet Magnetization [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2017
The performances of electrical machines highly depend on the behavior of materials, such as steel, copper, and permanent magnet. This paper focuses on permanent magnets whose magnetization must be precisely known. Thus a non-destructive approach which includes a combination of experiments and inverse problem, using the magnetostatic moment method, is ...

Magnetizing of permanent magnets using HTS bulk magnets

open access: yesCryogenics, 2011
A demagnetized Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet was scanned just above the magnetic pole containing the HTS bulk magnet, generating a magnetic field of 3.27 T. The magnet sample was subsequently found to be fully magnetized in the open space of the static magnetic fields.

Magnetic field annihilators: invisible magnetization at the magnetic equator [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Journal International, 2003
SUMMARY Some distributions of magnetization give rise to magnetic fields that vanish everywhere above the surface, rendering these distributions of magnetization completely invisible. They are the annihilators of the magnetic inverse problem. Known examples are the infinite sheet with constant magnetization and the spherical shell of constant ...
