Magnetizing of permanent magnets using HTS bulk magnets

open access: yesCryogenics, 2011
A demagnetized Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet was scanned just above the magnetic pole containing the HTS bulk magnet, generating a magnetic field of 3.27 T. The magnet sample was subsequently found to be fully magnetized in the open space of the static magnetic fields.

Small bowel perforation secondary to accidental magnetic objects ingestion: (Two pediatric cases report)

open access: yesIranian Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 2018
Foreign bodies ingestion is considered as a common pediatric problem, it is mostly encountred in infants between 6months and 2 years. Ingestion of magnets was documented in only few reports.

Magnetic Key Hole Technique (MKH) for Multi-Sensorics Local Tests of Soft Magnetic Laminations Under Defined Conditions of Induction

open access: yesSensors
Inspired by the key hole concept in micro-surgery, we developed a “magnetic key hole concept” for basic studies of localized characteristics of soft magnetic laminations (electric steel, Fe-based amorphous ribbon) under exactly defined conditions of ...

Line-start permanent-magnet motor: single-phase starting performance analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This paper presents a detailed quasi-steady-state approach to different torque components (average and pulsating) for a single-phase capacitor-run permanent-magnet (PM) motor.

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Intestinal perforation caused by multiple magnet ingestion

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Paediatric Surgery, 2014
Multiple magnet ingestion is rare, but can cause serious gastrointestinal complications. We report a case of 7-year-old girl with multiple intestinal perforations caused by multiple magnet ingestion.

Fuzzy Linear Active Disturbance Rejection Control Method for Permanent Magnet Electromagnetic Hybrid Suspension Platform

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
The permanent magnetic suspension (PMS) train has distinct advantages in reducing energy consumption and increasing the suspension air gap. Aiming at the problems of uncontrollable magnetic field and underdamping of the PMS system, the electromagnetic ...

Permanent Magnet minimization in PM-Assisted Synchronous Reluctance motors for wide speed range [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper presents a technique to modify the rotor lamination of a permanent-magnet-assisted synchronous reluctance motor, in order to reduce the magnet volume with no side effect on performance.

Heterogeneity in the Global Practice of Central Nervous System Staging in Pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is assessed by cell counting and cytomorphology from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and is used for treatment stratification worldwide. The ratio of “CNS2” patients in clinical trials ranges from 3% to 40%, with unclear prognostic significance ...
