Magnetic pore fabrics: The role of shape and distribution anisotropy in defining the magnetic anisotropy of ferrofluid‐impregnated samples [PDF]
Pore fabrics define physical properties of a rock, such as permeability and elasticity, both of which are important to many geological, hydrological and environmental applications.

We present a perturbative approach for the resonant tunnel splittings of an arbitrary effective single spin system. The Hamiltonian of such a system contains a uniaxial anisotropy, a transversal magnetic field and a second-order transversal anisotropy ...

Non-volatile electric field-mediated magnetic anisotropy in CoZr/ PMN-PT structure
Introduction: Although electric field mediated the magnetic anisotropy in ferromagnetic/ferroelectric structure have an intense report, the angle between the magnetic uniaxial anisotropy and strain anisotropy influencing the rearrangement of the magnetic

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

The influence of a mean magnetic field on three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic turbulence
Building on results from two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) turbulence (Shebalin, Matthaeus & Montgomery 1983), the development of anisotropic states from initially isotropic ones is investigated numerically for fully three-dimensional ...

Variation of magnetic easy direction of bcc structured ferromagnetic films up to thirty spin layers
Third order Heisenberg Hamiltonian was employed to determine the effect of number of spin layers on magnetic easy direction. 3-D graph of energy versus stress induced anisotropy and angle was plotted to find magnetic easy and hard directions.

Effective control of magnetic anisotropy is important for developing spintronic devices. In this work, we performed a case study of stacking periods (N)-mediated reorientation of lateral magnetic anisotropy in ultrathin La0.67Ca0.33MnO3/SrRuO3 ...

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Kinetic helicity and MHD turbulence
The issue of dynamical anisotropy in helical three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic turbulence with a mean magnetic field B₀ is investigated. Using high-resolution direct numerical simulations, we follow the evolution of various isotropic initial states ...
