Circling Electrons in High Magnetic Fields

2014
In a magnetic field the motion of electric charges perpendicular to the field direction is deflected into circular orbits because of the Lorentz force. This deflection causes an increase in the electric resistance and the generation of the Hall voltage transverse to the current flow in the conductor.

Reduction of cogging torque by adopting semi circled permanent magnet

2011 1st International Conference on Electrical Energy Systems, 2011
In this paper, being based on Fourier expansion and energy method, the analytical expression of cogging torque of permanent magnet (PM) motor is derived, which can be used to analyze the effects of design parameters on cogging torque. Then a new method for reducing cogging torque by adopting semi circled magnetic pole is proposed.

Investigation of Immobilization of Functionalized Magnetic Nanobeads in Rolling Circle Amplified DNA Coils

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2010
Immobilization characteristics for single-stranded oligonucleotide-functionalized magnetic beads with nominal sizes of 40, 80, 130, and 250 nm in rolling circle amplified (RCA) DNA coils is investigated by employing complex magnetization measurements, dynamic light scattering and fluorescence microscopy. It was found that larger beads in a polydisperse

[Magnetic resonance angiography of the intracranial circle using magnetization transfer contrast (MTC)].

La Radiologia medica, 1995
Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) is becoming an accurate technique to study vascular conditions, especially when the intracranial circulation is involved. Nevertheless, the contrast-to-noise (C/N) ratio in MRA images is often inadequate to obtain diagnostic images.

Sensor Systems with Magnetic and Optomagnetic Readout of Rolling Circle Amplification Products

2016
We are developing robust biosensors for homogeneous detection of rolling circle amplification (RCA) products with magnetic and/or optomagnetic readouts based on surface-functionalized magnetic nanoparticles. Binding of RCA amplicons to nanoparticles modifies their ability to rotate in response to an applied oscillating magnetic field.
