Multilevel magnetic resonance imaging compression using compressive sensing
In this study, a multilevel compressive sensing (CS) compression for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images is presented. The proposed algorithm divides the image into frames of equal size, transforms the pixels inside the frame into the sparse domain, and then applies the CS compression to each frame with different level of compression.

Local support against gravity in magneto-turbulent fluids
Comparisons of the integrated thermal pressure support of gas against its gravitational potential energy lead to critical mass scales for gravitational instability such as the Jeans and the Bonnor-Ebert masses, which play an important role in analysis of

In order to study the axial compression behavior of magnetically-driven concrete (MDC) filled double-skin GFRP tubes (CFDGT), the axial compression test was conducted on eight columns (the length of columns ranged from 1,000 mm to 3,000 mm). For the MDC,

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Invariant regimes of Spencer scaling law for magnetic compression of rotating FRC plasma
The scaling laws for the magnetic compression of a toroidally rotating field reversed configuration (FRC) have been investigated in this work. The magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) simulations of the magnetic compression on rotating FRCs employing the NIMROD ...
