A number of the more commonly known magnetic core access switches are combined in a single analytical model. In addition to yielding as special cases the known access switches on which it is based, this model produces many apparently new switches. Relationships among the various parameters in this model are developed in such a way that the designer may

The detection of strongly magnetized ancient crust on Mars is one of the most surprising outcomes of recent Mars exploration, and provides important insight about the history and nature of the martian core. The iron-rich core probably formed during the hot accretion of Mars approximately 4.5 billion years ago and subsequently cooled at a rate dictated ...

Abstract A transformer made for impedance matching of detector and preamplifier is considered like a dissipative two-port network. The noise voltage, induced by ferrite core of transformer on the receiver end, is derived from first principles. An inductance of transformer windings is considered to be finite and no additional shunt magnetizing ...

A Magnetic Core Parallel Adder
IEEE Transactions on Electronic Computers, 1958A logical design using magnetic core elements which does not have the usual carry time limitations is described. The synthesis uses a truth-table technique.

Papers and discussions presented at the Dec. 8-10, 1953, eastern joint AIEE-IRE computer conference on information processing systems---reliability and requirements - AIEE-IRE '53 (Eastern), 1953
One recent development which is significantly raising the reliability of today's high-speed automatic digital computer is the multicoordinate magnetic-core memory. Two banks of 32 by 32 by 17 magnetic-core memory have been in full-time operation in the Whirlwind I Computer for some months.

THIS PAPER reports the results of studies on improving the characteristics of storage integrator cores used to enhance target detection capability in Doppler radar systems. The cores integrate the total spectral output (reflected signals plus noise) of the radar receiver, effectively summing only those repetitive reflected signals (target echoes) above

Pulse Magnetization of Strap Toroidal Magnetic Core
IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2019Diffusion of the pulse magnetic field into the metal of the toroidal magnetic core wound by a transformer steel strap is considered. The 1-D numerical model has been developed, which takes into account the viscous-type dynamic losses of magnetization, as well as the eddy currents.

Magnetic dust cores for inductances operating above power frequencies are manufactured from very finely divided magnetisable material, each metal particle being insulated from all its neighbours. The metal powder is of such a fine subdivision that it is commercially known as metal dust.

Characterisation of Magnetic Wires for Fluxgate Cores
TRANSDUCERS 2007 - 2007 International Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems Conference, 2007Orthogonal fluxgate sensors need only a single core and they can be made very small. The main drawback of using magnetic wire excited by AC current through the wire is that the magnetic field in the central part or the wire is small to saturate the material.
