Intercalation induced ferromagnetism in group-V transition metal dichalcogenide bilayer
Two-dimensional (2D) ferromagnetic materials are receiving great attention in recent years. However, owing to strong direct magnetic coupling between different layers, they usually prefer antiferromagnetic coupling between different layers once stacked ...

This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Magnetic impurities in graphane with dehydrogenated channels
We have investigated the electronic and magnetic response of a single Fe atom and a pair of interacting Fe atoms placed in patterned dehydrogenated channels in graphane within the framework of density functional theory.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Antiferromagnetic coupling of the single-molecule magnet Mn12 to a ferromagnetic substrate
We investigate magnetic coupling between a monolayer of prototype single-molecule magnets Mn12 and a ferromagnetic Ni(111) substrate through S, using density-functional theory (DFT) and a DFT+U method.

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

Structural and magnetic dimers in the spin-gapped system CuTe2O5
We investigated the magnetic properties of the system CuTe2O5 by susceptibility and electron spin resonance measurements. The anisotropy of the effective g-factors and the ESR linewidth indicates that the anticipated structural dimer does not correspond ...
