Ferromagnetic resonance of quasiperiodic Au/Co Fibonacci multilayers: Magnetic anisotropy and interlayer coupling

open access: yes, 2019
Ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) study of quasiperiodic Au/Co Fibonacci multilayers revealed that uniform resonance modes related to the bulk Co and interface Au/Co regions of Co layers were excited in all multilayers.

Anion‐Exchange‐Enabled Hydrogel Electrolytes With High Zn2+ Transference for Dendrite‐Free Flexible Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A high‐Zn2+‐transference hydrogel electrolyte of ex‐PDADAM is developed via anion exchange at quaternary ammonium sites, achieving high Zn2+ transference number (0.86), ionic conductivity (8.10 mS cm−1), and toughness (51.25 MJ m−3). Symmetric cells are operated stably for over 2000 h, while flexible pouch cells retain 90.9% capacity after 300 cycles ...

Real-time imaging of the medullary circuitry involved in the generation of spontaneous muscle sympathetic nerve activity in awake human subjects

open access: yes, 2008
In order to understand the central neural processes involved in blood pressure regulation we recorded muscle sympathetic nerve activity (MSNA) via a tungsten microelectrode in the common peroneal nerve while performing functional Magnetic Resonance ...

Time‐Resolved Magnetization Switching Dynamics Driven by Orbital Torques

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Du et al. reveal nanosecond magnetization switching driven by orbital currents using time‐resolved Hall detection. The measurements separate domain nucleation from domain wall propagation and show that Joule heating strongly assists switching by lowering energy barriers.

Application of the Time-Variable Feedback to the Input Amplifiers of Pulse Magnetic Resonance Spectrometers : Theoretical Considerations

open access: yes, 2002
Analytical model for the optimization of the signal-to-noise (S/N) performance for the receiverwith input resonance circuit and variable feedback is developed. It is shown that by varyingthe feedback type and depth optimization of the receiver the best S/

Interface Effects in Ultrathin Silicon on Insulator Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work establishes a systematic framework to discriminate how bulk and interface phenomena affect charge transport in ultrathin P‐doped silicon‐on‐insulator (SOI) films. For Si films below 15 nm, electrical characterization demonstrates that interface states drive charge transport, shifting the metal‐insulator transition (MIT) critical dopant ...
