Predicting Magnetoelectric Coupling in Layered and Graded Composites

open access: yesSensors, 2017
Magnetoelectric (ME) interaction in magnetostrictive-piezoelectric multiferroic structures consists in inducing the electric field across the structure in an applied magnetic field and is a product property of magnetostriction and piezoelectricity in ...

Magnetic resonance imaging of glycogen using its magnetic coupling with water [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 2020
Glycogen plays a central role in glucose homeostasis and is abundant in several types of tissue. We report an MRI method for imaging glycogen noninvasively with enhanced detection sensitivity and high specificity, using the magnetic coupling between glycogen and water protons through the nuclear Overhauser enhancement (NOE).

Mutual Coupling Reduction Between Axial-Mode Helical Antennas using Single-Negative (SNG) Magnetic Metamaterials

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering Research, 2010
This paper investigates the mutual coupling effects between axial-mode helical antenna arrays. Single-negative (SNG) magnetic metamaterials are developed and used in this work in order to reduce mutual coupling between axial-mode helical antennas used in

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Fluorine—Fluorine Coupling Constants [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 1964
The pattern of fluorine—fluorine coupling constants is explained on the basis of two mechanisms for nuclear spin—spin coupling: the ``through-bond'' and the ``through-space'' mechanisms. In the former, the interaction proceeds via the electronic structure in the intervening bonds.

CYCLOTRON RESONANCE IN COUPLED BILAYERS IN HIGH MAGNETIC FIELDS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics B, 2007
We present far-infrared cyclotron resonance measurements on a strongly coupled symmetric GaAs/GaAlAs double quantum well sample. Cyclotron resonance is measured at several discrete wavelengths and tilt angles of the sample with respect to the magnetic field.

Absorption avoided resonance crossing of hybridization of silicon nanoparticles and gold nanoantennas

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2019
The near-field coupling between a high-refractive-index nanoparticle and gold nanoantennas is investigated theoretically. The absorption enhancement and also avoided resonance crossing in the absorption cross section spectra were observed with the ...
