Evaluation of internal target volume of abdominal tumors using cine‐MRI

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction The detailed anatomy visualization with magnetic resonance (MR)‐guided radiotherapy is particularly attractive for abdominal treatments, but patient respiratory motion can compromise image quality. The “navigator technique” produces high‐quality 3D images, triggered by diaphragm displacement, in exhale phase only.

Magnetic phase diagram copper metaborate CuB_2O_4 in magnetic field parallel c-axis: resonant, magnetic and magnetoelastic investigations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
The magnetic phase diagram in a single crystal of copper metaborate CuB_2O_4 in a magnetic field parallel to a tetragonal axis $c$ has been investigated. From the resonant, magnetic and magnetostrictive data the phase diagram of CuB_2O_4 on a plane ``temperature - magnetic field'' is constructed.

An investigation into the feasibility and efficacy of stereotactic radiosurgery for 1–3 cm single brain lesions on the ring‐mounted Halcyon LINAC

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose An evaluation of the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of the Halcyon ring delivery system (RDS) for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) treatment to relatively small (1–3 cm) brain lesions. Methods After completing the extensive in‐house quality assurance checks including Winston–Lutz test and independent dose verification via MD Anderson ...

Vesicles in magnetic fields [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Liposome vesicles tend to align with an applied magnetic field. This is due to the directional magnetic susceptibility difference of the lipids which form the membrane of these vesicles. In this work a model of liposome vesicles exposed to magnetic field is presented.

Enhanced analysis of gating latency in 0.35T MR‐linac through innovative time synchronization of a motion phantom and plastic scintillation detector

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study aims to evaluate how different gantry angles, breathing rates (BPM), cine image speeds, and tracking algorithms affect beam on/off latency and the subsequent impact on target dose for a 0.35T MR‐Linac with a 6 MV FFF beam.

Precision measurement of magnetic characteristics of an article with nullification of external magnetic fields [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
An apparatus for characterizing the magnetic field of a device under test is discussed. The apparatus is comprised of five separate devices: (1) a device for nullifying the ambient magnetic fields in a test environment area with a constant applied ...

NMR and biochemical characterization of the interaction between FGFR1 juxtamembrane domain and phospholipids

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance Letters, 2022
Fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFRs) play an important role in the regulation of cell proliferation, migration and differentiation, while the juxtamembrane domain (JMD) of FGFRs is the key in mediating these transmembrane signal transduction ...

The Magnetic Field Gradiometer

open access: yes, 1983
Abstract : This report has two principal goals. First, to present a general review of magnetic field gradiometers and, second, to provide new data concerning these gradiometers, including new information about their response to magnetic dipole fields.

The burden of intracranial atherosclerosis on cerebral small vessel disease: A community cohort study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Exploring the prevalence and association between intracranial atherosclerosis (ICAS) and cerebral small vessel diseases (CSVD), this study delved beyond the current scope, utilising high‐resolution vessel wall MRI (HRVW‐MRI) to investigate how subtle changes in intracranial atherosclerotic features influence the various burdens of ...
