The Measurement of the Magnetic Field in a Nuclear Spectrometer
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1950An arrangement is described which gives a continuous measurement of the relative magnetic field strength in a nuclear spectrometer with an accuracy of about 0.1 percent. The method consists of balancing the a.c. voltage picked up by a coil rotating in the field of the spectrometer against that picked up in a standard Helmholtz field.

Measurements of magnetic field stability in inhomogeneous magnetic fields at low temperature
Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2010We present an original method for field stability measurements in a bath of liquid helium. This method is used to validate the power supply of a superconductive magnet operating in driven mode. The experiment consists in the measurement of the NMR signal of a sample of liquid (3)He, placed inside the field of a test magnet driven by a power supply. The

A near-field scanning is usually time-consuming to map the electromagnetic field along the surface of a device. In this communication, a dual probe is proposed with a U-shaped loop to sense radio frequency (RF) magnetic and electric fields simultaneously,

This chapter discusses properties of the probes for RF magnetic field measurements and in particular, the factors limiting the measurement accuracy. Our considerations are limited to a probe consisting of a circular loop antenna loaded with a detector of a shaped frequency response.

Measuring the Magnetic Field Attenuation of Nonlinear Shields
2006 IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference Proceedings, 2006The problem of a low-frequency shielding of a loop placed inside a coaxial torus shield is analyzed by the application of the Schelkunoff transmission theory of shielding. Copper and iron torus shields are considered. In the case of ferromagnetic material, the losses inside the medium are evaluated by new analytic formulations.

Magnetic Field Measurement for Electromagnetic Flowmeters
Physics in Medicine & Biology, 1966A method is described for the measurement of magnetic fields in electromagnetic flowmeters and the relevance of this measurement to their design is indicated. An account is given of the principles involved and of the circuit used. Some other methods for magnetic field measurement are briefly discussed.
