Magnetic Field Measuring System for Remapping the ORIC Magnetic Field [PDF]
The Holifield Heavy Ion Research Facility will integrate a new 25 MV tandem electrostatic accelerator into the existing cyclotron laboratory which includes the Oak Ridge Isochronous Cyclotron (ORIC). 1 Computations of ion paths for beam injection from the new tandem into ORIC require field mapping in the regions traversed by the beam.

[18F]Fluorodeprenyl‐D2 PET as a Tool to Monitor Disease Activity in GAD65‐Ab Autoimmune Encephalitis
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate [18F]fluorodeprenyl‐D2 ([18F]F‐DED) positron‐emission tomography (PET) imaging as a biomarker of disease activity in autoimmune encephalitis (AIE) associated with glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 (GAD65) antibodies. Methods [18F]F‐DED PET was performed in 25 GAD65‐AIE patients and 8 controls using dynamic (0–60 min) and ...

Relative train localization with magnetic field measurements [PDF]
In this paper a new method for relative train localization in global navigation satellite system (GNSS) denied areas is proposed. The proposed localization system is long-term stable and based solely on magnetometer and odometer measurements. The system utilizes that the magnetic field shows strong and time persistent variations along a railway track ...

design and development of a vibrating sample magnetometer for high magnetic field measurements of superconductors [PDF]
A Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) has been designed, constructed and developed. The design specification was for a VSM to work in magnetic fields up to 15T, and provide a variable temperature environment for the sample from 4.2K to 130K.

Investigation of the unusual magnetic properties of Fe and Co on MgO with high spatial, energy and temporal resolution [PDF]
Nanometer-sized magnets are used as magnetic bits in data storage devices to hold information. As such devices are further miniaturized, the control of magnetism at the atomic scale becomes essential.

ABSTRACT Background and Purpose White matter hyperintensities (WMH) are a core neuroimaging marker of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). Sleep apnoea (SA) is a recognized vascular risk factor, but its associations with regional WMH burden, short‐interval WMH change and cognitive performance in population‐based cohorts remain incompletely defined. We

Repairbads: An automatic and adaptive method to repair bad channels and segments for OPM-MEG
The optically pumped magnetometer (OPM) based magnetoencephalography (MEG) system offers advantages such as flexible layout and wearability. However, the position instability or jitter of OPM sensors can result in bad channels and segments, which ...
