Modeling of a Field-Modulated Permanent-Magnet Machine [PDF]
In this work, an effective field-modulated permanent-magnet (FMPM) machine was investigated, in which the spoke-magnet outer rotor and open-slot stator were employed. The objective of this paper is to provide the mathematical modeling analysis that was performed for the purpose of control research on this type of FMPM machine. The simulation results by

Radio Frequency Precession Modulation-Based Magnetic Field Sensors
High sensitivity is often the foremost characteristic for magnetic field sensors; however, the most sensitive systems tend to be attributed with being any combination of large in size, high in power consumption, complex in design, or exorbitant in cost ...

Magnetic field modulation of chirooptical effects in magnetoplasmonic structures [PDF]
In this work we analyse the magnetic field effects on the chirooptical properties of magnetoplasmonic chiral structures. The structures consist of two-dimensional arrays of Au gammadions in which thin layers of Co have been inserted. Due to the magnetic properties of the Au/Co interface the structures have perpendicular magnetic anisotropy which ...

Oscillatory magneto-convection under magnetic field modulation
In this paper we investigate an oscillatory mode of nonlinear magneto-convection under time dependant magnetic field. The time dependant magnetic field consists steady and oscillatory parts.

Modulated Beams in a Plasma with a Magnetic Field
The radiation emitted by a linear density-modulated beam of ions parallel to a steady magnetic field and by a straight beam perpendicular to the field into a non dissipative plasma is investigated. In both cases the energy output becomes infinite at the “ion” and “electron resonance frequencies”.

The present paper deals with a weakly nonlinear stability problem under an imposed time-periodic thermal modulation. The temperature has two parts: a constant part and an externally imposed time-dependent part. We focus on stationary convection using the

A two-buncher high-efficiency transit-time oscillator with a low guiding magnetic field
The energy consumption of high-power microwave sources has attracted much attention in the research field of high-power microwaves. One way of decreasing the energy consumption is to reduce the guiding magnetic field.

Spin Hall magnetoresistance in antiferromagnet/heavy-metal heterostructures [PDF]
We investigate the spin Hall magnetoresistance in thin film bilayer heterostructures of the heavy metal Pt and the antiferromagnetic insulator NiO. While rotating an external magnetic field in the easy plane of NiO, we record the longitudinal and the ...

Enhanced modulation bandwidth of GaAlAs double heterostructure lasers in high magnetic fields: Dynamic response with quantum wire effects [PDF]
The modulation bandwidth of GaAlAs double heterostructure (DH) lasers in high magnetic fields is measured. We found that the modulation bandwidth is enhanced by 1.4× with a magnetic field of 20 T.
