Aharonov-Bohm Type Forces Between Magnetic Fluxons [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Forces related to A-B phases between fluxons with $\Phi=\alpha\Phi_0\ \ \ $ $\alpha\ne integer$ are discussed. We find a $\alpha^2\ln(r)$ type interaction screened on a scale $\lambda_s$.

Classification of Magnetic Forces on Antiferromagnetic Domain Wall

open access: yes, 2017
A major challenge in spintronics is to find an efficient means to manipulate antiferromagnet (AFM) states, which are inert relative to a uniform magnetic field, due to the vanishingly-small net magnetization.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Analytical model of no‐load axial force for electric propulsion conical motor in electric aircraft

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
In the field of electric aircraft, the axial force of the conical motor is used to offset propeller thrust and reduce bearing wear. For the problem of accurate calculation of the no‐load axial force of the conical motor, combined with the characteristics

Self-Forces on Electric and Magnetic Linear Sources in the Space-Time of a Cosmic String [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
In this paper we calculate the magnetic and electric self-forces, induced by the conical structure of a cosmic string space-time, on a long straight wire which presents either a constant current or a linear charge density.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Advances in the Biological Application of Force-Induced Remnant Magnetization Spectroscopy

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
Biomolecules participate in various physiological and pathological processes through intermolecular interactions generally driven by non-covalent forces. In the present review, the force-induced remnant magnetization spectroscopy (FIRMS) is described and

Phase transitions in a ferrofluid at magnetic field induced microphase separation

open access: yes, 2001
In the presence of a magnetic field applied perpendicular to a thin sample layer, a suspension of magnetic colloidal particles (ferrofluid) can form spatially modulated phases with a characteristic length determined by the competition between dipolar ...

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

Spinal Cord Infarction Versus Idiopathic Transverse Myelitis: Clinical, Radiological, and Functional Insights From a Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Spinal cord infarction (SCI) is a rare but devastating myelopathy, characterized by a high disability rate and an unfavorable prognosis. It has often been underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed as idiopathic transverse myelitis (ITM). This study aimed to describe the clinical features, radiological biomarkers, treatments, and functional ...
