Hydraulic In Vitro Characterization of MR‐Conditional Blood Pumps

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
Cardiac surgery in neonates requires close placement of cardiopulmonary bypass machines due to limited blood volume, complicating MR compatibility. This study introduces three MR‐conditional blood pump prototypes. None interfered with MRI imaging, though RF‐related sensor effects remain untested.

Stigma Management within and between Levels

open access: yesJournal of Management Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract We respond to recent calls to connect our understanding of stigma across and between levels of analysis by investigating how stigma management strategies to the same stigma vary and relate in nested industry, organizational, and individual actors.

Cycloidal Magnetic Gear Speed Reducer

open access: yesModern Mechanical Engineering, 2013
A cycloidal speed reducer employing gears with permanent magnets acting as teeth is described. The magnets, which have their axes radially oriented in both the orbiting gear and the fixed internal gear, are inserted in holes drilled in nonmagnetic rims without protruding from the cylindrical exposed surfaces. Because the orbiting gear is not restrained

Extramedullary Disease—Achilles Heel in Myeloma?

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 101, Issue 3, Page 521-536, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Despite advances in therapy, extramedullary disease (EMD) remains an aggressive form of multiple myeloma associated with poor outcomes. Patients with true EMD, in which plasmacytomas have become completely independent of bone, have a particularly poor prognosis. The pathogenesis of EMD is driven by complex mechanisms involving loss of adhesion

Rational Design of Bearing‐Construction Nanoreactor for Photocatalytic Application

open access: yesBattery Energy, Volume 5, Issue 2, March 2026.
Ag nanoparticle supported by an inner SiO2 core and guarded by an outer TiO2 shell: this creative SiO2‐Ag@TiO2 catalyst was synthesized by a partially chemical template‐etching method. Based on related experimental results, SiO2‐Ag@TiO2 exhibits excellent photoactivity.

Ninety‐Seven Percent of Trials Investigating Robotic Interventions in Physiotherapy Contained Abstract Spin: A Meta‐Research Review

open access: yesCochrane Evidence Synthesis and Methods, Volume 4, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Abstract spin involves misrepresenting or misreporting study findings in the abstract of an article. The abstract is the most easily accessible part of the article and may determine if an article is read, purchased or the findings are implemented into practice.

Eddy current damper [PDF]

open access: yes
A high torque capacity eddy current damper used as a rate limiting device for a large solar array deployment mechanism is discussed. The eddy current damper eliminates the problems associated with the outgassing or leaking of damping fluids.

Valbenazine induced acute parkinsonism in a patient with alcohol use disorder and central pontine myelinolysis

open access: yesPsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences Reports, Volume 5, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract Background Valbenazine is used to treat dyskinesia and is generally associated with limited side effects; however, a few cases with the adverse effect of parkinsonism are reported in the literature. In this study, we report a case of valbenazine‐induced acute parkinsonism.

Friction Shock Absorbers and Reverse Thrust for Fast Multirotor Landing on High‐Speed Vehicles

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, Volume 43, Issue 2, Page 1068-1090, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Typical landing gears of small uninhabited aerial vehicles (UAV) limit their capability to land on vehicles moving at more than 20–50 km/h due to high drag forces, high pitch angles and potentially high relative horizontal velocities. To enable landing at higher speeds, a combination of lightweight friction shock absorbers and reverse thrust ...
