Symplectic integration of magnetic systems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Computational Physics, 2014
Dependable numerical results from long-time simulations require stable numerical integration schemes. For Hamiltonian systems, this is achieved with symplectic integrators, which conserve the symplectic condition and exactly solve for the dynamics for an approximate Hamiltonian.

A new integrated magnetic memory

Proceedings of the November 18-20, 1969, fall joint computer conference on - AFIPS '69 (Fall), 1969
Very thin permalloy sheets were used by RCA, in 1963, in order to achieve integrated magnetic memories. In 1964, LFE has described an approach to mass memories (107--109 bits) using this material and an integrated wiring. For different reasons, these two projects were abandoned.

Improvements of the Integration of Active Magnetic Bearings

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2000
Abstract Functional and structural integration are tools to improve mechatronic systems that include active magnetic bearing systems. In this paper two aspects of the integration of electromagnetic bearings are presented: 1. The non-linearity of the magnetic force is compensated by software integrated in the digital controller. 2.

Integrated Magnetic Nanoinductors

IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology, 2015
This paper demonstrates the feasibility of the realization of on-chip inductors for use in microwave and millimeter-wave devices using ultraminiaturized on-chip vertical nanohelices. The inductors are constructed by depositing a thin film of closely packed, vertically aligned Nickel nanohelices.

Integrated magnetic sensors

Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 1990
Abstract Recent silicon magnetic sensors and integrated sensors are described. The silicon magnetic sensors, whose fabrication is compatible with the standard IC process, are in the limelight because they can easily be incorporated into integrated circuits and it may be possible to realize intelligent sensors.
