THIS PAPER reports the results of studies on improving the characteristics of storage integrator cores used to enhance target detection capability in Doppler radar systems. The cores integrate the total spectral output (reflected signals plus noise) of the radar receiver, effectively summing only those repetitive reflected signals (target echoes) above

Magnetism and integration in Massachusetts
Theory Into Practice, 1978group. After Gloria failed for the third time in the "Rope Swing," Jeff stayed on the starting line and tried to help her across. She got angry and told him, "Hands off!" Jeff never took it personally; he helped her again and again by holding the end of the rope while she straddled it like a swing. She finally made it across.

Magnetic field radiated by integrated inductors and magnetic shielding
2018 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2018This article presents a study on electromagnetic radiation generated by integrated inductors fabricated with and without magnetic material. The study is performed in simulation using HFSS software. A quantification of radiated fields of integrated inductors with one and two magnetic layers, as well as the study of the influence of the thickness of the ...

Solutions to the Yang-Baxter equation are found which are invariant with respect to the general linear and orthosymplectic supergroups. Hamiltonians and higher integrals of motion (transfer matrix) of the corresponding graded spin systems are diagonalized for finite chains.

Integration of polymer bonded magnets into magnetic sensors
Proceedings of the 5th Electronics System-integration Technology Conference (ESTC), 2014This paper introduces a novel assembly and manufacturing technology for integrating permanent magnets into magnet sensor modules by use of plastic bonded magnets. High precision speed sensors in automotive applications, e.g. in anti-blocking-system or engine management, are based on a magnetic measurement principle [1]. Typical sensor modules contain a

Micrometer scale magnetization of neodymium magnet for integrated magnetic MEMS
2016 IEEE 29th International Conference on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS), 2016In order to fabricate integrated magnetic MEMS devices containing complex micro-magnetic circuits, a micrometer scale magnetization technique for magnet substrates is required. Miniaturization of the magnetization pattern generated by pulse magnetization is limited due to heat resistance and the arrangement of the micro-coils. In this paper, we discuss

Integrated, variable-reluctance magnetic minimotor
IBM Journal of Research and Development, 1998The use of lithography and electroplating to fabricate variable-reluctance, nearly planar, integrated minimotors with 6-mm-diameter rotors on silicon wafers is described. The motors consist of six electroplated Permalloy® horseshoe-shaped cores that surround the rotor. Copper coils are formed around each core.

Magnetic labeling, detection, and system integration
Biosensors and Bioelectronics, 2008Among the plethora of affinity biosensor systems based on biomolecular recognition and labeling assays, magnetic labeling and detection is emerging as a promising new approach. Magnetic labels can be non-invasively detected by a wide range of methods, are physically and chemically stable, relatively inexpensive to produce, and can be easily made ...

An integrated magnetic spectrometer for multiplexed biosensing
2013 IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference Digest of Technical Papers, 2013There is high demand for at-home and point-of-care medical diagnostic tools as a step toward fast, low-cost, personal medicine. Integrated biosensors based on magnetic labeling schemes offer higher sensitivity and lower cost due to the elimination of the optics and have emerged as a viable alternative to assays that use fluorescence for biomolecular ...

MAGNET: Columbia's Integrated Network Testbed
IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 1985Fundamental issues arising in the design and implementation of architectures and protocols for integrated local area networks (ILAN's) supporting video, voice, graphics, data, and facsimile, are addressed, and open questions are identified. To characterize the performance of ILAN's, a set of performance evaluation guidelines is established.
