Defect Engineering in Large‐Scale CVD‐Grown Hexagonal Boron Nitride: Formation, Spectroscopy, and Spin Relaxation Dynamics

The controlled formation of defects in large‐area CVD‐grown hBN using various irradiation methods is demonstrated. Defect type and properties depend on particle type (He+, Ne+, Ar+, neutrons, and electrons), substrate effects, and film thickness.

Engineering Hierarchically Nano‐Structured Cu Foams: Dynamic Hydrogen Bubble Templated Binder‐Free Freestanding Electrodes for Energy Applications

The competition between H2 evolution (HER) and Cu electrodeposition during the dynamic hydrogen bubble templating (DHBT) crucially influences the synthesized foam morphology. Generally, when HER is dominating, numerous small H2 bubbles form, resulting in compact Cu foams.

MnBr2${\rm MnBr}_2$ on the Graphene on Ir(110) Substrate: Growth, Structure, and Super‐Moiré

The study realizes single‐layer MnBr2${\rm MnBr}_2$ via molecular beam epitaxy on graphene on Ir(110), unveiling a unique super‐moiré (“moiré of moirés”) formed by lattices of different symmetries. Remarkably, this super‐moiré is driven by a virtual interaction between non‐contacting layers.

The miscut substrate strategy offers a novel means to engineer aluminum surface roughness, grain architecture, crystallinity, and both normal and superconducting transport properties toward their clean limits by precisely tuning the miscut angle without altering growth conditions.
