Compact Tubular Dielectric Elastomer Pump for Indoor Plants
This study develops a mountable rolled dielectric elastomer pump (MRDEP) using silicone films and MWCNT‐based electrodes. The MRDEP is completely soft, silent in operation, and easily mounted on a piping system. We use dry stacking methods, fabricate a multilayer dielectric elastomer actuator (DEA), and a pre‐straining process in one direction before ...

Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

Light‑Driven Propulsion of Graphene Aerogels in Microgravity
Ultralight graphene aerogels convert laser light into thrust. Parabolic‐flight experiments directly compare their motion in microgravity and at 1 g, revealing order‐of‐magnitude enhancements in distance, velocity, and transient thrust when weight and friction are removed (∼50 times enhancement).

Experimental performance investigation of a novel magnetic levitation system
This paper deals with the design, construction, and especially the testing of a new magnetic levitation (maglev) train driven by an air-cored tubular linear induction motor. The proposed new design topology uses only one force-generating system (motor) to produce the three forces required in a maglev system: propulsion, levitation, and guidance ...
