ABSTRACT NiTi shape memory alloys (SMAs) show excellent performance in vibration damping and corrosion resistance. However, due to low hardness and lack of self‐lubrication, they suffer severe friction and wear during service. Although various strategies including doping and heterostructure design have been proposed, the effects are unsatisfactory.

Design and Operation of a Force-Reflecting
— This paper describes the design and operation of a coarse-fine teleoperation system with bilateral force reflection. The system uses a 6-DOF magnetic levitation device (MLD) master to control a 6-DOF fine-positioning MLD slave mounted on a 6-DOF coarse

Predictors of Brain Infarction in Pediatric Patients During Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation
In 179 pediatric ECMO patients, brain infarction (BI) occurred in 28% and was linked to markedly higher 30‐day mortality. VA ECMO mode (vs. VV) and higher pre‐ECMO arterial lactate independently predicted BI, supporting standardized neuro‐monitoring and liberal early brain CT, especially for children on VA ECMO.

Polynomial approach to control system design for a magnetic levitation system
The contribution deals with the problem of designing a control system for a magnetic levitation apparatus. The proposed procedure uses a polynomial approach for control system design with control structure having two feedback controllers.
