Magnetic Levitation Systems and Microelectromechanical Systems
2020We derive the mathematical model of both systems. In particular, the magnetic levitation system that we consider is that of a levitated ball whereas an electrostatic micromirror is the microelectromechanical system that we consider. We formally solve the position regulation problem in both systems.

Vision based magnetic levitation system
2012 20th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2012In this study, control of a vision based magnetic levitation system was explored. The system which is known as magnetic levitation or magnetic suspension constitutes the fundamental of the high speed maglev trains. The system levitates a ferro-magnetic object in the space using electromagnetic force against to gravity.

Superconducting bulk magnets for magnetic levitation systems
Physica C: Superconductivity, 2000Abstract The major applications of high-temperature superconductors have mostly been confined to products in the form of wires and thin films. However, recent developments show that rare-earth REBa2Cu3O7−x and light rare-earth LREBa2Cu3O7−x superconductors prepared by melt processes have a high critical-current density at 77 K and high magnetic ...

A new magnetic levitation system with AC magnets
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1988A magnetic levitation system using AC magnets is proposed that has iron rails with primary windings on the ground and levitation magnets with secondary windings placed on the levitated object. A constant AC current is supplied to the primary windings and currents are induced in the secondary windings by magnetic coupling between the primary and ...

Magnetic Levitation System Isolates and Purifies Airborne Viruses
ACS Nano, 2023Detection of viable viruses in the air is critical in order to determine the level of risk associated with the airborne diffusion of viruses. Different methods have been developed for the isolation, purification, and detection of viable airborne viruses, but they require an extensive processing time and often present limitations including low physical ...

Magnetically levitated shuttle highway system
Vehicle Navigation and Information Systems Conference, 1996, 1996In this article, the author presents a new concept, the ML-SHS (Magnetically Levitated Shuttle Highway System), which can provide free control, high speed, safety, smooth mobility, energy efficiency, and eliminates most vibrations, noise and sound. In order to design the ML-SHS, the electro-magnetic absorption method is utilized for it's support system

A New Magnetic Levitation System With an Increased Levitation Force
IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, 2019A conventional configuration for levitating a vehicle consists of a magnetic guideway on the ground and superconductors in a cryostat located below the vehicle, at a few millimetres from the guideway. A problem is the limitation of the levitating force by the amplitude of the magnetic field generated by the guideway and the size of the superconductors.

Magnetic Levitation System by Reluctance Control: Levitation by Motion Control of Permanent Magnet
International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics, 1994A new type of active magnetic levitation system is proposed. In this system, the forces of permanent magnets are used for levitation and controlled by adjusting the reluctance of the magnetic circuit. Using permanent magnets, the feature of this system is effective for saving energy and avoiding heat generation.
