Efficient Harvesting of Irregular and Low‐Frequency Mechanical Energy via Hybridized Electromagnetic‐Triboelectric Systems

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The rapid expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT) and wearable electronics necessitates sustainable power sources to replace the limited electrochemical battery. While mechanical energy harvesting offers a promising solution, traditional harvesters face challenges of irregular and low−frequency environmental sources. This review presents the

Mobile electromagnetic levitator for time‐resolved in situ X‐ray diffraction studies of high‐temperature phase transformations

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, EarlyView.
A mobile electromagnetic levitator combined with time‐resolved synchrotron X‐ray diffraction enables in situ studies of high‐temperature phase transformations without container‐induced contamination and reveals the first direct observation of metastable phase formation in undercooled Fe–Co alloys. In situ observations of high‐temperature transformations,

Percutaneous Intervention in External Outflow Graft Obstruction of Magnetically Levitated Left Ventricular Assist Device: Long‐Term Follow‐Up and Quality of Life

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
eOGO is an uncommon adverse event in patients on long‐term LVAD support. Thirty‐one eOGO patients were identified in a single‐centre HM3 implantation program. Twenty patients underwent percutaneous stenting. This treatment resulted in immediate LVAD flow improvement and yielded satisfactory quality‐of‐life results, with 62.5% patients assigned a fair ...

Linear Model Predictive Control and Back-Propagation Controller for Single-Point Magnetic Levitation with Different Gap Levitation and Back-Propagation Offline Iteration

open access: yesActuators
Magnetic suspension balance systems (MSBSs) need to allow vehicle models to levitate stably in different attitudes, so it is difficult to ensure the stable performance of the system under different levitation gaps using a controller designed with single ...

Device‐Induced Blood Damage in Pump‐Assisted Circulation: A Comparative Study of HeartMate III and BrioVAD Pumps

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
Shear‐induced blood damage—including hemolysis, platelet and neutrophil injury, and von Willebrand factor (vWF) degradation—was evaluated for the BrioVAD and HM3 using an in vitro circulatory loop under clinically relevant conditions. Across 15 biomarkers (n > 6 per group), no significant differences were observed between the two devices.

Polynomial approach to control system design for a magnetic levitation system

open access: yes, 2015
The contribution deals with the problem of designing a control system for a magnetic levitation apparatus. The proposed procedure uses a polynomial approach for control system design with control structure having two feedback controllers.

Shaping the Flow: Impact of Blade Shape on Performance and Hemocompatibility in Rotodynamic Blood Pumps

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
Blade shapes (leading‐edge geometry and thickness) in rotodynamic blood pumps were systematically evaluated. Thinner blades improve pump efficiency by reducing blockage effects, while neither blade thickness nor leading‐edge geometry shows clear hemocompatibility benefits. Overall, blade shape has a limited impact on hemocompatibility, indicating it is

Inflammation‐Regeneration Axis of Dental Pulp Stem Cells: Wnt/NF‐κB Crosstalk

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Inflammation critically determines dental pulp regenerative outcomes, with dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) orchestrating tissue homeostasis through differentiation, self‐renewal and immunomodulation processes dynamically regulated by Wnt/β‐catenin and NF‐κB signaling crosstalk.

Modeling and control of magnetic levitation system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Magnetic levitation technology had received more attention since it helps minimize friction due to physical contact. Example of engineering applications includes magnetic levitated vehicle, high speed bearings, and precision platform. Magnetic levitation
