Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Multiparametric robust sensing via readout of characteristic magnetization loops

open access: yesScientific Reports
Simultaneous measurements of multiple physical quantities under variable conditions are essential from fundamental research to application. However, multiparametric sensors often need intricate calibration procedures which can be compromised by changing ...

Effect of Ge doping on the magnetic properties of Fe-6.5Si soft magnetic composites

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2023
In this work, the effect of Ge content on the soft magnetic properties and microstructure of FeSiGe soft magnetic powder cores (SMPCs) was systematically investigated.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Tomography-based digital twin of Nd-Fe-B permanent magnets

open access: yesnpj Computational Materials
Many functional materials have been designed at the multiscale level. To properly simulate their physical properties, large and sophisticated computer models that can replicate microstructural features with nanometer-scale accuracy are required.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Quantitative magnetooptical analysis using indicator films for the detection of magnetic field distributions, temperature, and electrical currents

open access: yesScientific Reports
The accurate characterization of local magnetic fields and temperature is vital for the design of electronic systems. To meet this imperative, we present a novel non-contact approach for simultaneous quantitative magnetic field imaging and temperature ...

Magnetic anisotropy and high-frequency property of flexible FeCoTa films obliquely deposited on a wrinkled topography

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
We investigated the magnetic anisotropy and the high-frequency property of flexible Fe60Co26Ta14 (FeCoTa) thin films obtained by oblique sputtering onto a wrinkled surface.

Decoding the dynamic extracellular matrix in cancer—3D models and bioscaffolds rewire the rules of tumor progression

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cancer progression is regulated by the dynamic matrix code of the tumor microenvironment, which influences cellular behavior and disease development. Importantly, matrix remodeling in three‐dimensional cancer models more accurately reflects in vivo conditions compared to conventional two‐dimensional systems.

High-field flux jump instabilities in cables for accelerator or compact fusion magnets and their effective suppression

open access: yesScientific Reports
Rare-earth-barium-copper-oxide (ReBCO) superconducting tapes are pivotal for emerging technologies such as fusion reactors and particle accelerators due to their superior performance in high magnetic fields. Despite extensive studies of single tapes, the
