Magnetic Separation of Weakly Magnatic Copper Minerals [PDF]
High Gradient Magnetic Separation of small (5‐38 µm) weakly magnetic copper mineral particles from a copper concentrate and ore has been performed. In previous work coarser fractions of these minerals, bornite and chalcopyrite, were separated successfully.

Chemical weathering and provenance evolution of Holocene–Recent sediments from the Western Indus Shelf, Northern Arabian Sea inferred from physical and mineralogical properties [PDF]
We present a multi-proxy mineral record based on X-ray diffraction and diffuse reflectance spectrophotometry analysis for two cores from the western Indus Shelf in order to reconstruct changing weathering intensities, sediment transport, and provenance ...

MINERAL-BASED MAGNETIC NANOCOMPOSITE SORBENTS
The article is devoted to the synthesis of mineral-based magnetic nanocomposite sorbents and the study of the influence of modification by magnetite and molybdenum disulfide on the structural-sorption and surface properties of native saponite clay. Modification of native saponite clay with nanoscale magnetite increases the specific surface area and ...

Magnetic parameters as proxies for anthropogenic pollution in water reservoir sediments from Mexico: an interdisciplinary approach [PDF]
We assess the element pollution level of water reservoir sediments using environmental magnetism techniques as a novel approach. Although “La Purísima” Water Reservoir is an important source for multiple activities (e.g.
