Establishing a Model Precursor System: Over a Decade of Research on Carbon Dots from the Citric Acid‐Urea System

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The citric acid/urea (CA‐Urea) precursor system offers a versatile, scalable route to carbon dots with tunable luminescence and multifunctionality. Mechanistic insights into precursor chemistry and reaction parameters have enabled doping, surface modification, and hybridization strategies, yielding CDs for luminescent devices, sensing, catalysis ...

Structure evolution and magnetic properties of annealed nanoscale Gd/Ti multilayers

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
The structure and magnetic properties were comparatively analyzed for [Gd/Ti]n multilayers with Gd layer thickness of 1.5 to 12 nm. Multilayers were deposited by sputtering technique at room temperature and annealed for the temperatures up to 400 ºC.

Omnipolar Magnetic Field Detection by Superlattice‐Based Hall Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic‐field‐induced electronic switching is demonstrated in unit‐cell‐engineered La0.7Sr0.3MnO3–BiFeO3 superlattices. Distinct substrate terminations modify magnetic and transport properties. Hall resistance measurements show omnipolar, hysteretic anomalous Hall switching above the Curie temperature, arising from Fe─Mn interfacial exchange, enabling

Driving skyrmions in flow regime in synthetic ferrimagnets

open access: yesNature Communications
The last decade has seen significant improvements in our understanding of skyrmions current induced dynamics, along with their room temperature stabilization, however, the impact of local material inhomogeneities still remains an issue that impedes ...

Hierarchical Cellulose/MXene Aerogel Films with Coral‐Like Polyaniline Skin for Absorption‐Led Broadband EMI Shielding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A regenerated cellulose/MXene aerogel film is engineered with a surface‐confined, coral‐like polyaniline skin to intensify interfacial polarization while a porous, percolated conductive core is retained. By molten salt hydrate processing and interfacially confined oxidative polymerization, PANI growth is localized at the outer surface and internal ...

Ferromagnetic resonance study of sputtered Co|Ni multilayers

open access: yes, 2006
We report on room temperature ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) studies of [$t$ Co$|2t$ Ni]$\times$N sputtered films, where $0.1 \leq t \leq 0.6$ nm. Two series of films were investigated: films with same number of Co$|$Ni bilayer repeats (N=12), and samples

Bioactive Conductive Ti3C2Tx‐Ce Hydrogel Facilitates Spinal Cord Injury Repair Through ROS Scavenging and Mitochondrial Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bioactive conductive Ti3C2Tx‐Ce hydrogels with with scavenging ROS and alleviating neuronal mitochondrial dysfunction are exploited for SCI treatment. This functionality is attributed to interfacial activation modification of Ti3C2Tx with Ce3+ ions to in‐situ form Ce(OH)x‐mediated protective layer, which is beneficial to enabling stable intracellular ...

Magnetic hysteresis control in thin film Fe/Si multilayers by incorporation of B4C

open access: yesMaterials & Design
Magnetic hysteresis properties in Fe/Si multilayers have been studied as a function of the B4C content to control magnetization amplitude, coercivity, and hysteresis tilt, properties that are beneficial to tune for advancing applications in e.g.
