Anatomy of Skyrmionic Textures in Magnetic Multilayers [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, 2019
AbstractRoom temperature magnetic skyrmions in magnetic multilayers are considered as information carriers for future spintronic applications. Currently, a detailed understanding of the skyrmion stabilization mechanisms is still lacking in these systems.

Enhanced inter-diffusion of immiscible elements Fe/Cu at the interface of FeZr/CuZr amorphous multilayers

open access: yesMaterials Research Letters, 2018
Fe75Zr25/Cu64Zr36 amorphous multilayers were prepared by magnetron sputtering. Atom probe tomography was employed to analyze the atomic inter-diffusion at the interface of the multilayers before and after annealing (573 K, 60 min). An unexpected enhanced

Precession damping in [Co60Fe40/Pt]5 multilayers with varying magnetic homogeneity investigated with femtosecond laser pulses

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
We report on the ultrafast magnetization dynamics of [Co60Fe40/Pt]5 multilayers studied with femtosecond laser pulses. The samples were grown at room temperature by DC magnetron sputtering with Ta capping and Pt buffer layers and present the same ...

Spin–orbit correlations and exchange-bias control in twisted Janus dichalcogenide multilayers

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2021
Janus dichalcogenide multilayers provide a paradigmatic platform to engineer electronic phenomena dominated by spin–orbit coupling. Their unique spin–orbit effects stem from the mirror symmetry breaking in each layer, which induces a colossal Rashba spin–

Magnetic properties and thermal stability of Co/HfN multilayer films for high-frequency application

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
Sputtered metal–nonmetal granular films tend to exhibit growth-induced perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. In this work, Co/HfN multilayers were synthesized to suppress the development of columnar clusters along the deposition direction.

Enhanced annealing stability of ferrimagnetic Tb/FeCo multilayers

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
In this study, we have investigated amorphous 20-nm-thick Tb/Fe80Co20 multilayer samples with different individual layer thicknesses and their corresponding alloy counterpart.

Current-driven magnetization dynamics in magnetic multilayers [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2004
We develop a quantum analog of the classical spin-torque model for current-driven magnetic dynamics. The current-driven magnetic excitation at finite field becomes significantly incoherent. This excitation is described by an effective magnetic temperature rather than a coherent precession as in the spin-torque model.
