In Situ X‐Ray Diffraction Study of a Microwave‐Based Hydrothermal Synthesis of Mayenite Ca12Al14O33
Zeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.Microwave‐assisted hydrothermal synthesis enables rapid transformation of aluminium‐ and calcium‐hydroxide into mayenite with high surface area. Optimised synthesis conditions comprise a microwave step at 80°C for 5 min followed by calcination at 800°C. The reactions during calcination were studied via in situ XRD measurements.
