ALD‐Assisted VO2 for Memristor Application

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a strategy for depositing VOx using thermal atomic layer deposition (ALD) followed by thermal annealing to synthesize VO2. The thin film and core/shell wire memristors exhibit excellent switching performance and are highly sensitive to ambient temperature.

Microstructure, Mechanical Properties, and Antibacterial Performance of Novel Fe‐Mn‐Zn Nanocrystalline Alloys Produced by Mechanical Alloying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the development of Fe‐Mn‐Zn nanocrystalline alloys (0–9 wt% Zn) by mechanical alloying and subsequently hot pressing. Their microstructure, density, hardness, wear resistance, corrosion behavior, and antibacterial properties are systematically examined.

Screening effect of a magnetically soft shell of single-domain ferromagnetic nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The possible manifestations of magnetic screening effects were theoretically investigated for a particle with a ferromagnetic single-domain core and a magnetically soft shell. The exact solution of the Laplace equation gave analytical formulas for the magnetic field created by the particle placed in a uniform external magnetic field.

Contribution of magnetism to the Saturn rings origin [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
The magnetization relationships for magnetically uniform spherical particles of the Saturn rings are derived. The problem of a solitary magnetized sphere and spherical particle among identical particles scattered in a disk-like structure is solved. The differential equations of motion of particles in the gravitational and magnetic field are derived ...
