Magnetic Particle Imaging in Neurosurgery
World Neurosurgery, 2019Magnetic particle imaging (MPI) is a novel radiation-free tomographic imaging method that provides a background-free, signal attenuation-free, direct quantification of the spatial distribution of superparamagnetic iron-oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) with high temporal resolution (milliseconds), high spatial resolution (

Isolation of technogenic magnetic particles
Science of The Total Environment, 2014Technogenic magnetic particles (TMPs) emitted by various industrial sources, such as smelting plants, end up after atmospheric transfer on the soil surface. In the present study, we characterised the origin and composition of such particles emitted by a large iron smelting plant and deposited on particular substrates, namely tombstones, which act as a ...

Aging in a Magnetic Particle System
Physical Review Letters, 1995The influence of dipolar interaction in a frozen ferrofluid has been experimentally studied. The ferrofluid consisted of particles of $\ensuremath{\gamma}$- ${\mathrm{Fe}}_{2}$${\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ with mean diameter 70 \AA{}. Four samples with volume concentration of magnetic particles ranging from 0.03% to 17% have been investigated.

Magnetization and coercivity of antiferromagnetic particles
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1998The magnetic behavior of antiferromagnetic particles, with sc and bcc lattice structures, has been studied using the Monte Carlo simulation technique. The magnetization of the particles is a surface effect. At very low temperatures the surface exchange field gives a high coercivity. At high temperatures, the coercivity scales with the proportion of the

Parallel magnetic particle imaging
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2020Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) is a promising tomographic method to visualize the distribution of superparamagnetic materials in three-dimensions. For encoding, a strong gradient represented by a field free point (FFP) or a field free line (FFL) is steered rapidly through the field of view (FOV), acquiring the signal successively.

Antibody immobilization on magnetic particles
Journal of Molecular Recognition, 2008AbstractMagnetic particles (MNPs) offer attractive possibilities in biotechnology. MNPs can get close to a target biological entity, as their controllable sizes range from a few nanometres up to tens of nanometres, and their surface can be modified to add affinity and specificity towards desired molecules.

Measurement of magnetic particle for quantitative evaluation in magnetic particle testing
International Journal of Applied Electromagnetics and Mechanics, 2016As magnetic particle testing (MT) detects microcracks using a simplified method, it is used for non-destructive inspection of ferromagnetic materials in various industrial fields. However, MT can provide only a rough distribution shape of a crack; a quantitative technique for evaluating the crack shape has not been established in conventional MT.

Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI)
RöFo - Fortschritte auf dem Gebiet der Röntgenstrahlen und der bildgebenden Verfahren, 2011Magnetic particle imaging (MPI) displays the spatial distribution and concentration of superparamagnetic iron oxides (SPIOs). It is a quantitative, tomographic imaging method with high temporal and spatial resolution and allows work with high sensitivity yet without ionizing radiation. Thus, it may be a very promising tool for medical imaging.
