Magnetocaloric effect in the intermetallic compound DyNi

open access: yes, 2005
Magnetic and heat capacity measurements have been carried out on the polycrystalline sample of DyNi which crystallizes in the orthorhombic FeB structure (space group Pnma). This compound is ferromagnetic with a Curie temperature of 59 K.

Investigation on a complex type of magnetic refrigerants for the Ericsson magnetic refrigeration.

open access: yesTEION KOGAKU (Journal of Cryogenics and Superconductivity Society of Japan), 1986
A complex type of magnetic refrigerant for the Ericsson cycle has been investigated. For the magnetic refrigerant in the temperature range above -15K we have to use the ferromagnetic material, which has the internal magnetic field to arrange its spin system as far as using a magnetic field of -6T, because of increasing of the thermal excitation energy ...

Structured Plant‐Based Oil as Healthier Alternatives to Conventional Fats in Chocolate Cream Fillings

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigated the use of oleogel systems as fat replacements in chocolate cream fillings. Oleogels were prepared with 4, 6, 8, or 10% of sunflower wax (SW) or glycerol monostearate (GM) in corn oil (CO) or sesame oil (SO). Four representative oleogels, SOSW4, SOSW6, SOGM6, and COGM6, were selected for application in chocolate cream ...

Aloe vera–Based Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles With Characterization, Potent Antibacterial and Antioxidant Properties

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Green synthesis has emerged as a suitable alternative to the traditional method for manufacturing nanoparticles (NPs) as it provides a safer, sustainable, healthy, and environmental path for the NPs synthesis. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were prepared using a green method with locally sourced Aloe vera leaf extract.

Performance Investigation of Eco‐Friendly Refrigerant Mixtures as an Alternative to R134a in Vapour‐Compression Refrigeration System

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The growing impacts of climate change and energy scarcity demand environmentally sustainable refrigeration solutions. This study investigates eco‐friendly refrigerants (R152a, R290 and R600a) and their optimized ternary mixture as alternatives to R134a. Four blend compositions were analysed using experimental testing and REFPROP 10.0 modelling
