Electroactive Metal–Organic Frameworks for Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electrocatalysis is crucial in sustainable energy conversion as it enables efficient chemical transformations. The review discusses how metal–organic frameworks can revolutionize this field by offering tailorable structures and active site tunability, enabling efficient and selective electrocatalytic processes.

Magnetic Control of Chiral Hybridized Phonon Magnetic Moments in Ferrimagnets Fe2‐xZnxMo3O8

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Helicity‐resolved magneto‐Raman spectroscopy reveals magnetic control of chiral phonon magnetic moments in polar ferrimagnet (ZnxFe2−xMo3O₈). Large spontaneous zero‐field phonon splittings, selective phonon–magnon coupling, and asymmetric Zeeman responses demonstrate that phonon chirality is governed by magnon‐phonon coupling and magnetization.

Frustrated spin chains in strong magnetic field: dilute two-component Bose gas regime

open access: yes, 2012
We study the ground state of frustrated spin-S chains in a strong magnetic field in the immediate vicinity of saturation. In strongly frustrated chains, the magnon dispersion has two degenerate minima at inequivalent momenta $\pm Q$, and just below the ...

Hot‐Film and Calorimetric Methods With Transient Heating for Measurement of High Biofluid Flow Rate

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Accurate measurement of biofluid flow rate is vital for clinical diagnostics. We propose a transient heating strategy using short thermal pulses and peak temperature tracking to enhance the flow sensitivity of the hot‐Film and calorimetric methods. Simulations show how optimal heating time maximizes sensitivity across flow rates.

Magnetic properties of Dy2Ti2O7 [PDF]

open access: yes
Measurements were made of the magnetization, differential magnetic susceptibility, and magnetic entropy of powered samples of Dy2Ti2O7. The saturation magnetic moment is 4.7 + or - 0.2 Bohr magnetons per Dy ion, instead of 10 as predicted by Hund's rules.

Saturation mechanism of the Weibel instability in weakly magnetized plasmas

open access: yes, 2005
The saturation mechanism of the Weibel instability is investigated theoretically by considering the evolution of currents in numerous cylindrical beams that are generated in the initial stage of the instability. Based on a physical model of the beams, it

Influence of magnetic saturation in inhomogeneous magnetic field.

open access: yesJournal of the Mass Spectrometry Society of Japan, 1990
The field distribution of an inhomogeneous magnetic field in the conical pole gap is calculated considering the influence of magnetic saturation of pole material. Magnetic fields corresponding to the ideal n-values of -1.5 and -2 are calculated for various different field strengths. The results show that the distortion due to the magnetic saturation is

Criteria for saturated magnetization loop

open access: yesJournal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2016
Abstract Proper estimation of magnetization curve parameters is vital in studying magnetic systems. In the present article, criteria for discrimination non-saturated (minor) from saturated (major) hysteresis loops are proposed. These employ the analysis of (i) derivatives of both ascending and descending branches of the loop, (ii) remanent ...

Emergent Spin‐Glass Behavior in an Iron(II)‐Based Metal–Organic Framework Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A one‐pot, solvent‐free synthesis yields an Fe2+‐based metal‐organic framework (MOF) glass featuring a continuous random network structure. The material exhibits spin‐glass freezing at 14 K, driven by topological‐disorder and short‐range magnetic frustration, showcasing the potential of MOF glasses as a plattform for cooperative magnetic phenomena in ...
