The relation between magnetic hysteresis and the micromagnetic state explored by quantitative magnetic force microscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Since the discovery of magnetic lodestones in 600 BC described by ancient Greek philosophers, the mystery of magnetism has continued to intrigue. For thousands of years, these lodestones were more of a curiousity until medieval explorers discovered ...

Development of a Three‐Axis Planar Hall Magnetoresistance Sensor Using a Superparamagnetic Nanoparticle‐Based Flux Guide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A printed superparamagnetic nanoparticle‐based flux guide enables the realization of a hysteresis‐free three‐axis magnetic sensor. This innovative architecture efficiently redirects out‐of‐plane fields to planar sensing elements, facilitating simultaneous vector detection without complex reset protocols.

Time‐Resolved Magnetization Switching Dynamics Driven by Orbital Torques

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Du et al. reveal nanosecond magnetization switching driven by orbital currents using time‐resolved Hall detection. The measurements separate domain nucleation from domain wall propagation and show that Joule heating strongly assists switching by lowering energy barriers.

Assaying Carcinoembryonic Antigens by Normalized Saturation Magnetization

open access: yes, 2017
Biofunctionalized magnetic nanoparticles (BMNs) that provide unique advantages have been extensively used to develop immunoassay methods. However, these developed magnetic methods have been used only for specific immunoassays and not in studies of ...

Simulation analysis for reactances of quadrature-axis and direct-axis of permanent magnet synchronous motor

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2013
In view of problem that traditional magnetic circuit calculation for motor cannot accurately calculate reactances of quadrature-axis and direct-axis of motor because reluctance of iron core is neglected, the paper used Maxwell software to make ...

Coupling Anodic Activity and Stability at Ni‐Based Non‐Oxide Catalysts via Coordinating Alcohol Oxidation and Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A cooperative and competitive interrelationship between alcohol oxidation (AOR) and water oxidation (OER) was observed on a typical anode catalyst of Ni2P. In situ Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical analyses revealed a specific complementary mechanism between them, in which OER and AOR critically contribute to the activity and stability of anodic ...

Shaping Matter with Acoustic Waves: From Particles to Functional Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Acoustic‐directed assembly is reviewed as a materials‐oriented strategy for organizing particles, polymers, metals, and biological systems into functional structures. The review distinguishes reversible manipulation from permanent structure formation through medium fixation, particle fixation, and in situ material generation, highlighting routes toward

Análisis de la Deformación Del Campo Magnético Rotacional Causada Por Armonicos Homopolares en Motores Trifásicos Con Saturación

open access: yesMundo Fesc
This article analyzes the deformation of the rotational magnetic field in three-phase motors, caused by the presence of zero-sequence harmonics in the current and the effect of ferromagnetic material saturation. Zero-sequence harmonics contribute to core
