Design of CTAB‐Coated NixFe3−xO4 Magnetic Nanoparticles as Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) Tracers

open access: yesParticle &Particle Systems Characterization, EarlyView.
The present work is conducted to study synthesized NixFe3−xO4 MNPs (with x = from 0 to 1.0) coated with CTAB with hydrothermal and coprecipitation methods for the medical imaging systems as a tracer agent. In vitro, the biocompatibility of samples has been approved using an MTT assay.

Nanotubes from Transition Metal Dichalcogenides: Recent Progress in the Synthesis, Characterization and Electrooptical Properties

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This review describes recent (mostly last five years) progress in the synthesis, structural characterization, and properties of nanotubes from layered transition metal dichalcogenides, including in‐silico investigations. In the picture, ultra long multiwall nanotubes (up to 0.5 mm) nanotubes reported in Ref.

Deposition behaviors and interfacial interaction mechanism between carboxyl-modified polystyrene nanoplastics and magnetite in aquatic environment

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
In aquatic environments, the deposition behaviors of nanoplastics (NPs) are closely associated with interfacial interaction between NPs and iron (hydr)oxides minerals, which are typically coupled with solution chemistry and organic matter.

Liquid‐Phase Fabrication of Janus 2D Materials: Defect‐Rich MoS2 Ultrathin Layers Asymmetrically Decorated with Au Nanoparticles

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This work presents a versatile strategy for asymmetrically decorating MoS2 flakes using SiO2 microspheres as masking templates. The Janus MoS2 exhibits a 1.9‐fold enhancement in photoluminescence (PL) due to the incorporation of Au nanoparticles (NPs), primarily dominated by B exciton emission, which is attributed to defect‐rich structures.
