Magneto-acoustic investigation on steel samples

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Abstract Experiments have been carried out using yoke for energizing alternating magnetic field in the steel samples. We used acoustic emission sensors and ultrasound microphone for recording acoustic signal born in the steel material. Results of experiments clearly show the presence of Acoustic Barkhausen noise.

The dissipation of magneto-acoustic waves

open access: yesComputers & Mathematics with Applications, 1994
The propagation of magneto-acoustic waves in a thermally conducting isothermal atmosphere, in the case of dominant magnetic field, is studied. It is shown that the atmosphere may be divided into two distinct regions: the lower region where the motion is approximately adiabatic, and the upper region where the solution decays with the altitude to a ...

Mathematical models and reconstruction methods in magneto-acoustic imaging [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Applied Mathematics, 2009
In this paper, we provide the mathematical basis for three different magneto-acoustic imaging approaches (vibration potential tomography, magneto-acoustic tomography with magnetic induction and magneto-acoustic current imaging) and propose new algorithms for solving the inverse problem for each of them.

Synthetic phonons enable nonreciprocal coupling to arbitrary resonator networks [PDF]

open access: yesScience Advances, 2017
Wavelike spatiotemporal modulation of discrete coupling elements creates synthetic phonons that enable nonreciprocal coupling. Inducing nonreciprocal wave propagation is a fundamental challenge across a wide range of physical systems in electromagnetics,

Advances in Topological Thermoelectrics: Harnessing Quantum Materials for Energy Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Topological materials offer a novel platform for thermoelectric energy conversion through unique band features, including band inversion, linear Dirac bands, surface states, and Berry curvature. These quantum characteristics enable enhanced longitudinal and transverse thermoelectric effects, establishing topological thermoelectrics as a promising ...

Nonreciprocal Spin Waves in Nanoscale Hybrid Néel–Bloch–Néel Domain Walls Detected by Scanning X‐Ray Microscopy in Perpendicular Magnetic Anisotropic Fe/Gd Multilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Using scanning transmission X‐ray microscopy, nonreciprocal spin‐wave behavior is revealed in real space in Fe/Gd multilayers with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, highlighting their functionality for magnonic logic circuits operating at GHz frequencies.
