Lorentz‐Boost‐Driven Magneto‐Optics in a Dirac Nodal‐Line Semimetal [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2022
Optical response of crystalline solids is to a large extent driven by excitations that promote electrons among individual bands. This allows one to apply optical and magneto‐optical methods to determine experimentally the energy band gap —a fundamental ...

Magneto-optics of monolayer and bilayer graphene [PDF]

open access: green, 2013
The optical conductivity of graphene and bilayer graphene in quantizing magnetic fields is studied. Both dynamical conductivities, longitudinal and Hall's, are analytically evaluated. The conductivity peaks are explained in terms of electron transitions.

X-ray magneto-optics of lanthanide materials: principles and applications [PDF]

open access: green, 2005
Lanthanide metals are a particular class of magnetic materials in which the magnetic moments are carried mainly by the localized electrons of the 4f shell.

MAGNETO-OPTICS OF ANTIFERROMAGNETS

open access: diamondJournal of the Magnetics Society of Japan, 1987
Abstract Antiferromagnetic crystals in which crystallographic sites occupied by magnetic ions from various sublattices are not transnationally equivalent and are not associated with each other by a symmetry center can have magneto-optic properties distinct from the properties of other antiferromagnets.

Dynamic effects in nonlinear magneto-optics of atoms and molecules [PDF]

open access: green, 2004
A brief review is given of topics relating to dynamical processes arising in nonlinear interactions between light and resonant systems (atoms or molecules) in the presence of a magnetic field.Comment: 15 pages, 11 ...

Magneto-optics in pure and defective Ga_{1-x}Mn_xAs from first-principles [PDF]

open access: green, 2005
The magneto-optical properties of Ga$_{1-x}$Mn$_{x}$As including their most common defects were investigated with precise first--principles density-functional FLAPW calculations in order to: {\em i}) elucidate the origin of the features in the Kerr ...

Charge Transfer Transitions and Circular Magnetooptics in Ferrites

open access: yesMagnetochemistry, 2022
The concept of charge transfer (CT) transitions in ferrites is based on the cluster approach and takes into account the relevant interactions, such as the low-symmetry crystal field, spin–orbital, Zeeman, exchange and exchange-relativistic interactions ...
