Magnetoelastic Cell Monitoring System for Evaluating the Effects of Surface Chemistry on the Performance of Mesenchymal Stem Cell Growth

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The recent clinical adoption of cell therapies has increased the need for more efficient, robust, and reproducible manufacturing technologies. Human mesenchymal stromal cells (hMSCs), a major component of the cell and immunotherapeutic market, remain challenging to manufacture at scale because they require surface attachment and are highly ...

The effect of helical magnetoelastic anisotropy on magnetoimpedance and its second harmonic component in amorphous wires

open access: yes, 2015
The frequency dependence of the magnetoimpedance of an amorphous magnetic wire displays a behavior that appears to be ferromagnetic resonance, at a frequency of about 900 kHz.

Light‐Modulated Exchange Bias in Multiferroic Heterostructures

open access: yesElectron, EarlyView.
In this article, exchange bias and magnetization are modulated with visible light at room temperature in PMN‐PZT/FeGa/IrMn multiferroic heterostructures. Photostrictive effect is the main mechanism leading to the modulation of magnetic anisotropy and interfacial exchange bias coupling between the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic layers.

Laser-induced magnetization precession in individual magnetoelastic domains of a multiferroic Co40Fe40 B20/BaTi O3 composite

open access: yes, 2020
Using a magneto-optical pump-probe technique with micrometer spatial resolution, we show that magnetization precession can be launched in individual magnetic domains imprinted in a Co40Fe40B20 layer by elastic coupling to ferroelectric domains in a ...

Flexible wearable electronics for cardiovascular monitoring from surface signals to deep physiological insights

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
This review organizes flexible wearable electronics for cardiovascular monitoring into four interconnected information layers: surface electrophysiology, hemodynamic sensing, vascular imaging, and biofluid biomarker analysis. This framework clarifies how electrical rhythm, vascular loading, structural and flow‐related features, and biochemical states ...

Dysprosium substituted Ce:YIG thin films with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy for silicon integrated optical isolator applications

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2019
In this report, dysprosium substituted Ce1Y2Fe5O12 (Ce:YIG) thin films (Dy:CeYIG) with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) are successfully deposited on silicon and silicon-on-insulator waveguides by pulsed laser deposition. The structural, magnetic,

Nonlinear Strain‐Mediated Magnetoelectric Coupling in Sub‐Microscale Ni/BPZT Thin‐Film Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 12, Issue 11, 8 June 2026.
Sub‐micrometer Ni/BPZT thin‐film magnetoelectric devices with lateral gates enable localized, low‐voltage strain control of magnetization. By combining anisotropic magnetoresistance, nitrogen‐vacancy magnetometry, multiphysics strain simulations, and micromagnetic modelling, the study quantitatively links ferroelectric strain hysteresis to magnetic ...

Determination of magnetoelastic oscillations in ferrite plate with different values of anisotropy constant

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
The maximum amplitudes of magnetic and elastic oscillations are calculated at various material parameters and parameters of external fields. Normally and tangentially magnetized anisotropic magnetic plates were considered.

Tailoring the Anomalous Nernst Effect of Co/Pt Multilayers Grown on Strained Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 12, Issue 11, 8 June 2026.
Strain engineering offers a powerful approach to enhance the Anomalous Nernst Effect in flexible Co/Pt multilayers. This study demonstrates a 30% thermoelectric improvement under mechanical strain, directly attributed to the modulation of intrinsic interfacial interactions.

Role of magnetoelastic anisotropy in Ni/Pt multilayer films

open access: yes, 1998
Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy(PMA) at room temperature in Ni/Pt multilayer thin films was obtained for samples of constant 3 Angstrom Pt and 7-16 Angstrom Ni sublayer thicknesses, prepared by sequential de magnetron sputter deposition.
