An Anisotropic Model for Magnetostriction and Magnetization Computing for Noise Generation in Electric Devices

open access: yesSensors, 2016
During the manufacturing process and use of ferromagnetic sheets, operations such as rolling, cutting, and tightening induce anisotropy that changes the material’s behavior.

Large perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in magnetostrictive Fe$_{1-x}$Ga$_x$ thin films

open access: yes, 2015
In this work we report the appearence of a large perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) in Fe$_{1-x}$Ga$_x$ thin films grown onto ZnSe/GaAs(100). This arising anisotropy is related to the tetragonal metastable phase in as-grown samples recently reported

Magnetic Phase Diagram of GdNi2B2C: Two-ion Magnetoelasticity and Anisotropic Exchange Couplings

open access: yes, 2003
Extensive magnetization and magnetostriction measurements were carried out on a single crystal of GdNi2B2C along the main tetragonal axes. Within the paramagnetic phase, the magnetic and strain susceptibilities revealed a weak anisotropy in the exchange ...

Orbital Magnetic Moment Controlled Converse Magnetoelectric Effect in bcc‐Co3Mn/Fe/V/PMN‐PT Multiferroic Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on orbital magnetic moment control, a material design strategy is proposed for a giant converse magnetoelectric effect in multiferroic heterostructures. This study will pioneer a promising route toward low‐power spintronic devices with an electric field.

Tunable Negative Thermal Expansion in Fe/Cr‐Substituted Nd2Co17 Compounds via Magnetoelastic Coupling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study achieves anisotropic thermal expansion tuning in Nd2(Co1‐xFex)17‐yCry compounds via a magnetoelastic strategy. Variable‐temperature synchrotron X‐ray diffraction reveals that increased Fe content induces switchable lattice responses. Compositional control reduces the volume expansion coefficient αV by 20% (x═0.7) and modulates TC (442–625 K),

Size Dependence of the Magnetoelastic Properties of Metallic Glasses for Actuation Applications

open access: yesSensors, 2019
We present an exhaustive study of the magnetoelastic properties of 24 strips with different rectangular dimensions, cut from a long ribbon of Metglas® 2826MB3. The strips have a length-to-width ratio R = L/w ranging from 2 to over 20.
