Magnetoelectric coupling in 4,4′-stilbenedinitrene
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2013We investigated the optical properties of 4,4′-stilbenedinitrene at low temperature and in high magnetic fields and compared the results with complementary first principles calculations. Both physical tuning parameters allow us to manipulate the singlet-triplet equilibrium, and by doing so, control the optical contrast (which is on the order of −2.5 ...

Magnetoelectric coupling in Ca3CoMnO6
Journal of Applied Physics, 2010Magnetic structure and dielectric response of Ca3CoMnO6 have been studied as a function of temperature and applied magnetic field. Neutron diffraction experiments at low temperatures reveal changes in the magnetic structure in the temperature range 2–10 K.

Inherent Spin–Polarization Coupling in a Magnetoelectric Vortex
Nano Letters, 2022Solid-state materials are currently being explored as a platform for the manipulation of spins for spintronics and quantum information science. More broadly, a wide spectrum of ferroelectric materials, spanning from inorganic oxides to polymeric systems such as PVDF, present a different approach to explore quantum phenomena in which the spins are set ...

Magnetoelectric Coupling in Disordered Multiferroics
Ferroelectrics, 2012Higher order magnetoelectric effects dominate in disordered multiferroics with broken translational symmetry such as multiglassy Sr0.98Mn0.02TiO3, antiferromagnetic quantum paraelectric EuTiO3, relaxor ferroelectric antiferromagnetic Pb(Fe0.5Nb0.5)O3, and antiferroelectric antiferromagnetic CuCr1-xInxP2S6.

Grüneisen parameters in the quantum paramagnet with the magnetoelectric coupling
Low Temperature Physics, 2022It is shown theoretically that magnetic Grüneisen parameter for the quantum orthorhombic paramagnet manifests features similar to the ones observed in many-body quantum spin systems at critical points. For the paramagnet with the strong coupling between the spin and electric subsystems, we have introduced the electric Grüneisen parameter, which is the ...

Enhanced magnetoelectric coupling in stretch-induced shear mode magnetoelectric composites
Journal of the Korean Ceramic Society, 2021Magnetoelectric (ME) laminates consisting of Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 (PMN-PT)-based single crystals have recently attracted significant interest owing to their excellent piezoelectric properties. Particularly, ME laminates with d15-mode single crystals exhibit the strongest ME coupling, but the fabrication of ME laminates with 15 shear modes is ...

Magnetoelectric coupling in nanocrystalline Pb0.82La0.18TiO3
Applied Physics Letters, 2012The combined effect of Pb vacancies and La dopant can induce ferromagnetism below 75 K for Pb0.82La0.18TiO3 plates annealed at 700,1000, and 1200 °C for 1 h. Pb0.82La0.18TiO3 plates annealed at 1000 °C for 1 h show the coexistence of ferromagnetism resulting from oxygen vacancies at/near surfaces of nanograins and ferroelectricity near room temperature.
