Effect of magnetic bias field on magnetoelectric coupling in magnetoelectric composites
Journal of Applied Physics, 2003The effect of dc magnetic bias field on the magnetoelectric coupling of a two-component magnetoelectric composite structure is investigated numerically using the finite-element method, in which the nonlinear magnetostress coupling for the magnetostrictive component is taken into account. It is shown that the magnetostress coupling coefficient increases

Microwave Magnetoelectric Couplings in FeCoB/Piezoelectric Bilayers
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 2013This paper deals with the study of magnetoelectric structures which could allow the emergence of a new class of microwave tunable devices. Our interest was focused on composite magnetoelectric structures which associate piezoelectric substrates and magnetostrictive layers in order to get a variation of microwave permeability thanks to an electric field.

On the Theory of Magnetoelectric Coupling in LiCu2O2
Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics, 2019A microscopic theory is proposed for coupling of copper spins with an external electric field in the magnetically ordered phase of LiCu2O2. The expressions are derived for the dipole moment components of exchange-coupled pairs of copper spins, as well as expressions for describing the macroscopic polarization in terms of the angles determining spatial ...

New relativistic Hamiltonian: the angular magnetoelectric coupling
SPIE Proceedings, 2016Spin-Orbit Coupling (SOC) is a ubiquitous phenomenon in the spintronics area, as it plays a major role in allowing for enhancing many well-known phenomena, such as the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction, magnetocrystalline anisotropy, the Rashba effect, etc.

Magnetoelectric coupling in strained strontium titanate and Metglas based magnetoelectric trilayer
Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2019Abstract Direct magneto electric coupling is observed with a magnetoelectric coupling coefficient (MECC) of 806 mV cm−1 Oe−1 at 750 Hz in strontium titanate (STO) - Metglas - strontium titanate (STO-Metglas-STO) trilayer thin films with a total thickness of 600 nm.

Carrier-Mediated Magnetoelectric Coupling in Functionalized Graphene
ACS Nano, 2013Materials in which magnetic order and electric fields can be coupled are of high fundamental and technological interests. Electrical control of magnetism is not only important for ultralow power consumption applications, but also enables control over intrinsic material properties that may have a major step in new developments in spintronic and ...

Composite Structures, 2018
Abstract Multiferroic magnetoelectric (ME) composites are widely discussed for new kinds of smart structures. However, studies on nonlinear ME coupling in layered composites with nano-scale thickness which have unique superiorities are rather limited.
