Digital Approaches on Frequency Tuning for Magnetoelectric Sensors
2022 29th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (ICECS), 2022Magnetoelectric sensor concepts typically require magnetic or electrical excitation signals with a specific frequency and amplitude for operation. These required signals present a challenge in terms of the necessary frequency accuracy to enable ME sensors operation at their particular resonance frequency.

Comparison of reference sensors for noise cancellation of magnetoelectric sensors
2016 IEEE SENSORS, 2016Thin-film magnetoelectric (ME) sensors offer a promising potential to measure biomagnetic signals in the near future. Unfortunately, this sensor type shows usually a large cross-sensitivity to all kinds of mechanic distortion due to the resonant structure. In order to overcome this problem several sensor designs have been proposed.

Magnetoelectric Sensor of Magnetic Field
Ferroelectrics, 2002As an alternative to semiconductor sensor and sensor on hermetic contacts we present sensor based on magnetoelectric effect. In researches there are used the magnetoelectric bulk composites containing 95% of yttrium-iron garnet and 5% of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) and multilayer composite material consisting of PZT and Ni 0.5 Zn 0.5 Fe 2 O 4 .

Electrically modulated magnetoelectric sensors
Applied Physics Letters, 2016Magnetoelectric thin film composites have demonstrated their potential to detect sub-pT magnetic fields if mechanical resonances (typically few hundred Hz to a few kHz) are utilized. At low frequencies (1–100 Hz), magnetic field-induced frequency conversion has enabled wideband measurements with resonance-enhanced sensitivities by using the nonlinear ...

Magnetoelectric sensors for biomagnetic measurements
2011 IEEE International Symposium on Medical Measurements and Applications, 2011Magnetoelectric sensors are assumed to be capable of biomagnetic measurements like magnetoencephalography (MEG) and magnetocardiography (MCG). In this paper a thin film sensor with a ME coefficient of α ME = 450 V/cmOe at a resonance frequency of f res = 678.5 Hz is investigated.

High-temperature multiferroic magnetoelectric sensors
Applied Physics Letters, 2022Magnetoelectric (ME) sensors are an important tool to detect weak magnetic fields in the industry; however, to date, there are no high-quality ME sensors available for high-temperature environments such as engines, deep underground, and outer space. Here, a 0.364BiScO3–0.636PbTiO3 piezoelectric ceramic and Terfenol-D alloy with a Curie temperature of ...
