Trefftz type method for 2D problems of electromagnetic scattering from inhomogeneous bodies

open access: yesComputer Assisted Methods in Engineering and Science, 2023
A new numerical method for scattering from inhomogeneous bodies is presented. The cases of E and H-polarizated incident wave scattered by an infinite 2D cylinder are considered. The scattered field is looked for in two different domains.

Insight into Significance of Bioconvection on MHD Tangent Hyperbolic Nanofluid Flow of Irregular Thickness across a Slender Elastic Surface

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
This numerical investigation effectively establishes a unique computing exploration for steady magnetohydrodynamic convective streams of tangent hyperbolic nanofluid traveling across a nonlinearly elongating elastic surface with a variable thickness.

Global strong solutions to the planar compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with large initial data and vaccum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This paper considers the initial boundary problem to the planar compressible magnetohydrodynamic equations with large initial data and vacuum. The global existence and uniqueness of large strong solutions are established when the heat conductivity ...

ANALYSIS OF THE MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMICS NANOVISCOUS FLUID BASED ON VOLUME FRACTION AND THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES

open access: yesBarekeng, 2023
Fluid flow control is applied in engineering and industry using computational fluid dynamics. Based on density, fluids are divided into two parts, namely non-viscous fluids and viscous fluids.

Magnetohydrodynamics in the Inflationary Universe [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves are analysed in the early Universe, in the inflationary era, assuming the Universe to be filled with a nonviscous fluid of the Zel'dovich type ($p=\rho$) in a metric of the de Sitter form.

MHD Effect on Porous Wide Composite Slider Bearing Lubricated with a Couplestress Fluids

open access: yesTribology Online, 2015
A Magnetohydrodynamic effect on porous composite slider bearing lubricated with couple stress fluids is numerically analyzed. A modified Reynolds equation has been derived taking into magnetic field in the couple stress fluid lubrication of wide porous ...

Unsteady MHD Mixed Convection Flow of Non-Newtonian Casson Hybrid Nanofluid in the Stagnation Zone of Sphere Spinning Impulsively

open access: yesFluids, 2021
In the present analysis, an unsteady MHD mixed convection flow is scrutinized for a non-Newtonian Casson hybrid nanofluid in the stagnation zone of a rotating sphere, resulting from the impulsive motion of the angular velocity of the sphere and the ...

A three dimensional magnetohydrodynamic pulse in a transversely inhomogeneous medium [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Interaction of impulsively generated MHD waves with a one-dimensional plasma inhomogeneity, transverse to the magnetic field, is considered in the three-dimensional regime.

On the coronal heating mechanism by the resonant absorption of Alfven waves

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1993
In this paper, we will investigate the heating of the solar corona by the resonant absorption of Alfven waves in a viscous and isothermal atmosphere permeated by a horizontal magnetic field.
