Magnetorheological fluids based haptic device

Sensor Review, 2004
This paper presents the development of a haptic device working with magnetorheological (MR) fluids. The computer screen is portioned in various segments and the controllable software monitors the attributed values of the voltage to the screen. The motion of a cursor on the computer screen is controlled by the MR actuator.

Structures of a Magnetorheological Fluid

Electro-Rheological Fluids and Magneto-Rheological Suspensions, 2000
Molecular dynamics simulations were carried out to find the underlying structures of a Magnetorheological (MR) fluid while taking into account dipolar forces, viscous drag, and the Brownian force. Three different structures were found: the bct lattice, chains, and a liquid state.
